Greetings fellow Toyota owners, I have a 2009 tundra SR5, one of many Toyota’s. Have been driving Toyota’s for many years, mainly because they are great vehicles! I have been working on my own vehicles since I was able to hold a wrench. I’m also retired from the military (USAF). I will glad to help where I can, thanks

Thanks for a warm welcome, didn’t expect that. As for the rear “metal grinding” sounds I was hearing when I made the right turn, I believe I have it figured out. I pulled both wheels and discs off. The pads & parking brake shoes were like new. I did find the shoe nail/spring/keeper had popped off on the right rear shoe. On closer inspection, the spring keeper was bowed out, not really holding the “nail” like it should! I went back to Toyota and purchased the assembly. I will replace them today and (hopefully) that will be the fix! Geterdone!
