Good grief. Is the Toyota design center still in California??? Get that operation into the center of the country. These are trucks. Not carnival rides.

And now a word from our sponsor >>> :poking:

Why are people so mad at this? They are giving the public something different to buy, it doesn't mean you have to. Jeep offers different colors for the Wranglers every year, keeps people interested I guess.

A lot of people assigning their masculinity to the color of their truck. Pretty telling tbh.

yes god forbid that there’s a truck that’s a color. Look back to the 60s and 70s, color everywhere! Different strokes for different folks, this isn’t something to get Internet big mad over

the same people hating on the color are the same people that think every single 3rd gen suffers from the engine issues.

I think its a fantastic color that I haven't seen hardly any other manufacturers try to take a jab at. based off the press pictures it looks a lot closer to turquoise than the OPs picture.

Me and all my third gen friends just use the iForce engine to toast weenies when the first bearing charbroil feature activates. They’re just jealous

kidding aside it’s a wonderful truck. Headed on another several hundred mile tow tomorrow. First vehicle in my years on the road that I’ve been this excited to drive every morning.

It's not a color I would personally buy, but it looks great imo. Those acting like the color is too feminine for their manly egos probably have some things they need to work out.

What feminine? Anyone seen that chevy cavalier in parking lot i posted? What looks 'great' on press photos or in some marketing video is not going to look great couple years down the road or somewhere in a parking lot.

There's a reason you dont see all these fruity tropical colors used by other manufacturers. They don't work!

One more look for those who missed it:

Full disclosure; I used to have a Chevy Cavalier. '82 I think. I actually ordered it brand new from the factory. A color similar to that one. Those were the dark ages.

Matt you are right about light colors not showing the dirt. Most of my trucks have been red except 2004 Tundra which was silver and 1996 Taco which was tan. Both never looked dirty, except when covered in winter road salt.
Current Mag gray truck is the worst of all. Looks dirty after an hour of driving after washing…

There is a great history of color in the automotive world. Despite some crazy names and funky colors Toyota keeps it fresh. Others wallow in grays, white's, blacks and some browns. With an occasional red or green.

Sometimes I have to take my personal truck to job sites. 1000% I’d have a new nickname if I showed up with this color.

    Not going to happen.

Actually, it is opposite, people always run into the most visibile stuff.

We kept having near misses with people almost running into guy wires, so we threw hi-vis flagging and guards and then they started hitting them on a regular basis.

People are going to be hitting this truck because they are probably going to be looking at it wondering who would drive a truck this color versus paying attention.

After playing around with it in forza, it kinda grew on me. I mean, it'll turn into that geo storm disaster after several years sitting in the sun, but when new, it does pop!
