    Hello all!
My name's Clint. I love my First Gen Tundra. It's a 2001 V6 Regular Cab Long bed 2x4. It has most of the upgrades available for the base model including tilt wheel, door panel tweeters, cargo lamp, 4speed automatic with overdrive bypass, mud flaps, tow hitch/trailer harness, and locking gas cap. It was originally purchased by Trailer Service & Rental, to be my father's work truck. They made a few modifications by adding ¼" steel plate to the bed rails with 3 steel D-rings welded along each side, a heavy duty headache rack, a cargo rack and bed liner. He drove it for 6 years delivering trailer parts around the Middle Tennessee area. They ran a forklift into the driver side bed but that's just cosmetic lol. They ended up retiring the truck and my dad bought it from them for a great deal considering the wear it had been through. He really only used it to pull his boat around and to haul larger loads than his smaller truck could. In 2014 he gave it to me so I wouldn't have to do construction work out of a minivan any more . Since then I have cut the rack off, swapped out the plastic skid plate for a metal one, added a ram bar/brush guard from a police car, installed a wench, nerf bar step rails, AM-FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo, catalytic converter delete, all new ball joints and bushings/front coil-overs/rear shocks/lower control arms/sway-bar linkage/inner and outer tie-rod ends/wheel bearings/steering rack, and 1" coil-over front lift spacers with 1.5" leaf spring rear lift blocks ( I fear the leaf springs are shot as it's still higher in the front end ).
The original drivetrain just rolled past 300,000 miles a month ago and it's still running strong. I suspect the rear main is leaking about a half quart of oil every 2-3 months but it's had a bit of a rough truck life so it's to be expected. Overall this truck is bad-ass for a V6 and I love it! I have several other mod projects that I'd like to do with this truck and this forum is great for ideas! Thanks!IMG_20200419_175957.jpg

Quite the adventures for that rig. Here's hoping that you have many more with it!

Welcome to the forum. One question: How much did it cost to install the 'wench'? ;) I hear they can be expensive.

I bought a 3500 lb winch with nylon rope from Amazon for $350. It came with a mounting plate that installed without much fuss to the ram bar that I have already installed.

On a related note as I was towing the u-haul trailer back a giant deer decided to how hard he could ram into my driver door. Ouch! Takes a licking and keeps on ticking
