Hey hows it going, pretty new to the offroad community. I have a 2017 dual cab toyota tundra. Still stock at the moment. Was just curious what everyone's opinions were on the first modifications I should make. Also I really liked this front bunper. Wasnt sure if it would mess with me wanting to put 35"s on later, any suggestions appreciated.

Most offroad bumpers will help fitting 35’s.

What would everyone recommend for a first modification. What's the most important?

Suspension, wheels and tires, sliders, skids, then bumpers. If you’re getting bumpers and/or winch, be sure to plan for the weight when you get your suspension.

Well trucks already black haha, I think I'll just start off with the basics. Save up the cash and buy all the skid plates I can and some sliders. I guess after that I'll just see what my truck can do. Wont know what I need until I need it

I've been trying to figure out what kind of build I really want. I guess ideally I'd like to be able to drive around where I live. (Upstate ny) and park it in the middle of a river and fly fish off my tailgate. I dont think I would wanna take it through anything too extreme since it's my daily driver

Welcome! That is a good bumper. Makes fitting larger tires a breeze.

If I get a winch on my 2WD, can I overland with the BASTRDs and SGU?!
Yep, this. I did protection before suspension. But I'm high challenge. If you're gonna park in a river, you better first do the rear diff relocation mod.

I'll definitely have to look into doing that diy rear breather mod. Any possible setbacks from that? I'm definitely mechanically challenged so just kinda learning as I go along.

Same here with the mechanically challenged part; mod was easy enough that I could do it LOL

    No setbacks so far

Yeah, it's easy if you relocate to the rear taillight area. I tried putting it up high in a bedside near the cab and basically just messed around with zip-ties for hours. When I do it on my other truck, I'll probably just go with that taillight area.

I like doing performance mods first. I would go with k&n pan filter and BAmufflers and x-pipe.keith at dirty deeds industries is awesome on tundras. I installed them on my 2013 and it sounds Awesome!!! And added more torque.
