Is that the same green as your truck? Seems like a no brainer if the funds are right. The fender flares on that bed are not the same as yours. Otherwise seems pretty good.

What's wrong with it? Time for a v8 swap? 5spd 4wd v8 would be oh so sexy.

I guarantee your MPG will be similar to ours. You're still pushing the same amount of weight but with a smaller engine. Many members with the V6 have reported MPG data the same as the V8.

The V8 has been documented hitting 1 million miles a few times now.

There is nothing wrong with the V6 but saying it's more reliable or efficient is a stretch.

Now, having the manual transmission is definitely a bonus and I'm sure it has adequate power. You found a nice and now rare 1st gen that will serve you well.

Where are you at OP? I'm sure theres some folks that need some parts your passing over. Are the fog lenses in it? Easier to polish em up if their sitting on a bench.

Nice-looking truck! Ugh, I can't imagine having to slosh around in that muck though to get to everything in that junk yard! What a beating.

Oh that's right, your current bed did have some rust and such on the cross supports, right? Is the paint a match or is yours darker?

Gonna turn that old bed into a trailer for a slide in camper? Maybe just the cap? A matching enclosed trailer isnt useless and i bet boat trailers are cheaper than dirt in florida.

I was close to same, but figured out what was up.

Most yards out my way cover the entire lot with #4 granite stone so that doesn't happen. I knew it was FL, I'd have been more pissed about swatting skeeters and gnats constantly, and getting my kicks muddy. I have shit boots for the yard, it's just one more thing I don't want to hafta clean back home.

A Cruiserhead near us did this with a tub, roof and rear axle from an FJ60, color-matched to his truck. Has a rooftop tent setup, and below holds all spares, tools, gear, etc. Incredibly sweet way to do long trips.

I could see if it was while towing
    But not just driving.

I go to 4 different PYP yards in the area to find what I need. Two of them are both like 20 min away, one is 45min away and the furthest one is an hour and a fifteen min away. I make the trip. I love going shopping for cheap OEM parts.

Yesterday I installed some window tint to match the back windows with a strip across the front. I don't have to squint anymore while driving in this Florida sun. Also finally got some windshield wiper arms which came with rainX wipers on them
