I think I just fell down a worm hole, and my wallet will never be the same. I have a 2013 Tundra Rock Warrior. All stock at this point. However, I will be getting the Bilstein 5100 Ride Height Adjustable shocks, and new BFG K02s as soon the shop (4Wheel Parts) can fit me in. Looking at other mods too.

I can tell you all the subjective qualities of this makes my head spin a bit. I knew better than to jump in with "will it fit question", I have read, and lurked for a week or so now, and I have an idea what may be possible...but still not sure. I am still not sure that 315/70/17 will "fit" with the Bilstein set up? The thought of some midieval guys with a pair of pliers and blow torch on my truck does worry me a bit.

I see that very little is black and white...lol

    I am considering:
Borla Cat-Back System with rear exit
    Cold Air Intake
    Tuner
    New Grill

And who knows what else I can't afford. But reading thru here, I may actually be more confused than when I started. Half the people seem to think these things don't "work", the other half swear by them. What is a new guy to do?

    Welcome from TN!

Yeah you're gonna need spacers with a 50 offset

I will get some up, figured I would snap the before/after when it goes in. It is just the basic white RW. Hoping to work on that though. Honestly, even though I have read lots, I still don't even know what some of these terms mean. I think I understand the concept of spacers and offset. But I am not absolutely sure how it is measured, and what it really means. I assume the spacer makes the wheel project further from the body of the truck? oh....so much to learn. Be gentile, even though I know it is going to hurt.

1.25" spacers will push your wheels out to roughly 18 mm offset.

The more offset, the more it tucks in the wheel well and the less offset the further it will stick out. 25 offset tucks in more than 0 offset and -20 will stick out less than -30. Make sense?

So...the bigger the + offset, the closer (more tucked), the smaller the offset (moving into negative numbers) the further it sticks out?

welcome bud. If you stick with a 295 or 285, you can probably fit without spacers.

I came stock with the 285/70/17 Size. The trusty interwebz tells me the 315/70/17 is about 1" taller, and about 1"+ wider. My little pea brains tells me that 1/2" in both directions is "no big deal". However, my little pea brain is often wrong. I am a bit conflicted with trying to get bigger tires, and leveling the truck without going too much rubber on a 17" wheel, and then not wanting to pony up an additional $800 for new rims when the RW wheels are acceptable visually. However, 17" wheels feel a bit small.

Oh where will the spending end? going further and further down the hole.

bingo. it's that simple (also, offset is always measured in mm in respect to rim width) such as a 9 inch wide wheel will not have the same position as a 10 inch wheel of the same offset.

Hey Shane welcome from San Diego, CA. Stick with the RW wheels. A very strong and good looking 17" wheel. Lots of tire options too.

Welcome Shane. Your RW wheels are fairly highly sought after. The 17" wheel should make your tires a little less expensive and, the extra side wall helps protect the wheels when you're off road. The modifications to make bigger tires fit aren't that bad. The most difficult in the bmc or cmc, body mount or cab mount chop..... Two names for the same thing. The plates are available from one of the vendors here for about $25. The cutting and welding are minor and won't hurt you truck as long as the welding is done slowly enough to not melt the nearby rubber mount and you paint it before it rusts. BTW, as far as CAI.... you've already got one. I haven't found any info that makes me wanna spend $400 to replace the air intake I've already got. But, that's just my opinion. Best of luck, can't wait to see some pics.
