    Good morning!!

I just wanted to introduce myself! I recently ordered a new 2017 Tundra TRD Pro which will hopefully arrive at the dealership around the end of April start of May!

Like I said in the title new to the forum and tundras... I really mean new to Tundras I had been driving a 2000 Honda S2000 for 17 years... So i'm going to say this now... Thank you in advanced for being patient with me and for any future advice you may give!

Is there any advice right off the bat that anybody could drop on me? I just have a few questions while i'm at it.

    1. I keep seeing post about how bad the tires off the lot are... could anybody elaborate for me? I would GREATLY appreciate it.

    2. I also have been seeing a lot about tire rub... If I plan to stay with the factory tires at the beginning do I have to worry about tire rub? and how long do your tires last you? I've been driving a small sports car a LONG time and tires didn't last...

Again thanks so much in advanced! and Thank you for taking the time to read my post!

    Welcome Niru,

First off I'm jealous, haha. What color and cab style did you go with?

Your stock setup won't rub, it's when guys lift and/or put bigger tires they need to bend the fender liner or do the can mount chop and/or add spacers to avoid rubbing.

I'm not lifted and my truck only has 10k miles so I can't elaborate much more on your questions. For normal driving I don't mind the stock tires on my SR5 TRD. I would guess in mud or snow there are better options.

As far as advice right off the bat, I think for a new vehicle good quality floor liners Husky Weatherbeaters or WeatheTech Digital fit are great. @havasubud with ESP truck accessories has a nice rear under seat storage for the CrewMax. I added an Undercover Swing Case for storage, I love it.

@salex has an awesome center console organizer and tray. I have them both and love em'.

    Congrats and welcome to Tundras!

@MotoTundra Thank you so much for the warm greeting!!

I liked 2 of the 3 colors available for the 2017 so when I ordered with the dealership that I wanted either White or Cement which ever they could get to me first! haha That red color just didn't work for me.

Sweet i'll defiantly look into some floor liners and console organizers lol that center console is HUGE! lol

Welcome fellow s2k owner. I still have mine. So you are going from a super small car to a huge truck! Only thing I can say is don't think about mpg lol. Just enjoy it. Your stock tires will last 30-50k miles. You can of course out better bigger tires as the tires on the Pro are small. They lifted it but kept same size tires as other tundras. Figure that. Just enjoy your new rig when you get it and you can read lots on information on here.

A little of this and a little of that.
@niru316 welcome from Las Vegas!! I concur with the above already stated tire answers. With stock tires you'll be fine and not rub on anything. Where you'll start to rub is when you put oversize tires on it depending on what your offset is on your wheels. The stock rubber that protects the wheel from the factory is an ok all around tire. It'll be good enough to get you around until the day you decide to change up your wheel/tires set up.

Since you have the Pro you be 2" higher in the front and 1" higher in the back than all the other models. If I'm not mistaken you'll get the same Michelin tire as everyone else's models. Def get the Husky floor mats.

Go to the Mods and Tutorials section of the website and see everything that you could possibly do to your Pro. Welcome to the Tundras.com family!

Welcome from CO! Wish I could have an S2000 . . . suckers still sell for over $20K if in good condition. As everyone stated above, you'll be fine with stock tires; they are very good tires. Lots of off-roading vids where they use the truck bone stock and tires perform great. No worries there. Enjoy the truck!

    Welcome from Ca.

You might consider a spray in bed liner if it doesn't come with one. Sometimes it's already done and sometimes the dealer will want to bend you over to have it done. If you don't want to spray/roll it yourself it's worth having it done IMO. Your pro will be a great truck and won't need much as long as you don't look at too many pictures on this forum.....haha

Just got my pro yesterday and added new tires today. I like a little more aggressive tire and a little bigger. I keep bragging, this is by far the smoothest most comfortable truck I have ever owned. Congrats on the new ride.
