Hi all. I've currently got Michelin ATX LT2 on my truck with only about 5/32" of tread left on them. We get some pretty harsh winters where I live and I'm looking for a tire that will be great in the snow and slush but also usable year round. I'm thinking of getting some KO2s in the stock size, just wondering if anyone else has recommendations. Thanks.

I’ve tried many AT tires before I finally bought some BFG KO2...now will never go back after having them.

I’ve never tried the Michelin’s. Did you like them?

KO2 is a great tire! Have had a lot of positive feedback from Wrangler Duratracs and Nitto Terra Grapplers as well.

They were on the truck when I bought it. I'm pretty sure they were the factory original tires, no complaints in the approx. 2k miles I've used them for. I almost feel bad for taking them off still having tread on them, but I don't want to risk an entire winter with nearly bald tires.

I got a great deal on Falken Wildpeak AT3s. They were less than half the price of the KO2 of the same size. They seem to get really good reviews.

Where did you get them from? The price on tire rack isn't much less than the KO2.

the Falken have great reviews. They have the snow flake rating as well like the KO2.

I actually ordered them from Amazon and had a local tire shop install them. Walmart had good prices on them also.

Had KO2s on my old Land Rover. They're great tires. Have Nitto Trail Grapplers now and really like them as well. Both great for offroad.

I've noticed that the Falken prices have increased quite a bit recently. Discount Tire used to sell the 275/70/18 for about $190 per tire and now they are about $225 each. With that said, I've heard good reviews on them and people on here seem to love them.

I've heard the KO2's are good in the snow as well as the Nitto Exo Grappler. Seems like there was a member on here running them in snow.

I believe the Falken WildPeaks are coming on the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon edition.....so there goes the good deals on that brand.

Thanks. I may consider the DuraTracs also.

Look at General Grabber ATX, excellent tire and doesn't break the bank.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
I have Falken Wildpeak AT3s and would recommend them. They are snow rated and seem to wear quite evenly. I found the best discount at Simpletire.com and then found a coupon online for 15% off.

Currently it looks like their rise in popularity over the past few months has caused a price increase. My tires.jpg current tires.jpg

I think I'm probably going to end up going with the Goodyear Duratracs. Now I just need to get new tires for my trailer too.

Had BFG’s KO’son my previous 01 Tacoma, 02 Tundra, and 2010 Tundra. They are on my current 2016 Tahoe work rig too (KO2’s). Have always felt they were decent tires, just a bit loud and handled a bit rough. Also didn’t last that long, and performed pretty poor in winter conditions once tread wore a bit.

We have been running Cooper AT3’s on a bunch of work rigs and they have held up great, and performed excellent in our Alaskan winters. Which is why on my 18 Platinum this fall I went with the new Cooper AT3 XLT’s. Ride super smooth, quiet, and look killer. Cheaper and lighter than the BFG’s with a better tread warranty, while hopefully not sacrificing any real world performance.
