    MORE PICS ADDED BELOW

1 NEW in box / 4 in box with less than 50 miles.

Painfully, I'm looking to get $850 total on these. Hit me with offers if you're local, though. I'm willing to wheel and deal.

Current retail ~ $1,250+ for 5 wheels, save $500-600 at my loss on a nice set of quality offroad wheels. Don't make me go out and buy another truck to put these on, please!

These should fit Taco/Tundra/T4R/LX/GX/FJ/other 6-lug Toyo / Lexus SUVs w/compatible hub bore *but not* 3rd Gen Tundras.

Don't want to ship, but I'll drive up to 1.5hr any direction from Atlanta for a motivated buyer in exchange for a 12pk of decent hoppy cold beer (or roasty stout).

    Part#: 946G-79060-12
    Size: 17x9
    Bolt Pattern: 6 x 5.5 (6 x 139.7)
    Offset: -12
    Backspacing: 4.53"
    Hub Bore: 107.95mm
Update: More pics showing actual wheels and their basically new condition (and the new-in-box spare). That 2nd to last pic, that's not a paint defect, it rubs right off. I didn't see it 'til after I took the pic.

You only get one original box. The four I had mounted to roll back/forth to the shop were placed in my new Method boxes...

    upload_2023-9-20_23-13-49.png

For reference, here's how they looked on my 1GT for the week I had them mounted, rolling on 275/70r17 MT Baja Legend EXPs, pic taken with overcast skies.

I looked for this thread in the 1gt marketplace to get pics for my mall crawler post.

did the hubs not fit tight? Says 107.95 instead of 106.1.

No issues with fitment whatsoever, the center cap mounts from rear and is ~1mm thick, fit is perfect. Even without center caps, there were no issues with centering. And I'm 4WD, no problems with front fitment using center cap.

At this point, I think I may just put tires on them and use as an alternate set of shoes if they don't sell this week. They match the new Leer shell

I'd like to do different wheels on my truck, I just don't think the grey wheels on a grey truck would look all that good. Plus money.

I had to move these out of the room we had them in for the kid to have his friends for a sleepover.

So I added some pics of the actual wheels, just to show, they're freaking mint, and one of them is unopened.

@shifty` Why did you swap these for the Methods? Any rub or modifications needed when you had these mounted? I'd buy them off you if I wasn't halfway across the country, but I might look for these closer to home. Thanks.

Honestly? Primary reason for my change was purely aesthetics. I thought the RACELINEs were going to be more of a smoked silver, less dark grey. If they'd have been a light bronze, or even more silver, I'd still be rocking them right now.

Anyone who's a regular on the 1st Gen forum knows I'd been leaning toward gold wheels forever, but SCS was less than helpful, and I couldn't find anyone else out there that was doing something gold in the realm of what the old BBS web/mesh wheels were back in the 80s which was the look I personally love. Method was the only company out there doing more of a bronze-gold thing instead of eggyolk-orange gold.

As far as rub, yes, I rubbed a hair more with the RACELINE shoes. I think it would've mostly been resolved if I could've gotten LexTechs to clock my SPC uppers to add +1 on the caster, but for whatever reason, they seemed adamantly opposted to loosening the top nut on the UBJ. I knew they were anti-SPC when I walked in the door, but I assumed they'd do what the customer wanted. That's another story...

One big thing to wrap your head around with the rub factor. The RACELINE offering is 17x9 with offset that comes in around 4.5 backspace. The Methods are 17x8.5 with offset that comes in around 4.75 backspace. OEM is 7.5 with offset that comes in around 5.0 backspace. All are in that sweet spot, realistically. If you have stock tires you're not going to get rub on any of them. Given the width of the wheel, the backspace is appropriate in each case. The issue that creeps up is when you start upsizing tires.

I say that knowing, at least for my '06, stock is 265/65r70, which IIRC is around 30.6" diameter, on a non-aggressive, non-AT tire typically. Next step up is a 265/70r17 which puts you around 31.6", a whopping inch increase. If you're going from a road tire to AT, which will have more aggressive tread you'l probably be fine. But the next step up being 275/70r17 at 32.2", that extra half inch is, I think, where you start to hit rub issues with any wheel, at least if you're going with a semi-aggressive AT, if you're not pushing the wheel forward (more positive caster).

Anyway, typing too much already. But the gist is this:
    • With the RACELINEs, running 275/70r17 on an aggressive AT, I'm rubbing flap mildly in some turning conditions
    • With the Methods, running 275/70r17 on an aggressive AT, I'm rubbing flap barely in some turning conditions
    • I was able to cut the front mud flaps (there's a thread on it in 1st gen forum) to eliminate 99.9% of that rub w/Methods
    • I think I could've avoided cutting my flaps if I just re-clocked my SPC uppers to add +1 caster, but haven't dealt with it yet
    • Rubbing flaps is inevitable if you're upsizing above 1" in the 1st Gens, in my humble opinion, but nobody seems to talk about it (or just removes their flaps knowing it's gonna happen)
    • YMMV -> All of the above is purely my personal experience and may not reflect everyone else's experience.

Thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time. You definitely cleared up my questions on rub and how backspacing affects that.

Sold 4 of 5 to a Taco owner about an hour ago. I'll probably be re-listing the 5th wheel as a spare (I'm open to shipping) when I get time to take pics. So if you're reading this after closure and you need one of these in spare, HMU.

    That means you too @ATBAV8!!
