    Kings F&R, no sway bars
Front sway bar is like handcuffs on your truck, especially with a high end suspension like kings. Take it off, eliminates the bobblehead effect, it won’t roll over like many people think

They are the OEM model. Provides 2-3” lift. My Alcan Springs were made to provide 2” lift. It’s sitting high up cause everything is new. 80022808-5FA6-4988-9416-E96C433B842F.jpg

I’ll remove it before alignment tomorrow if that even makes a difference to do it before or after. I have the skid plate off so whomever does the alignment doesn’t have to deal with my rock light or the time to remove it.

Oh ya. I forgot to ask. I added CB carrier bearing drop kit. When I put the shims and shackles on. Do I still keep the drop kit?

You don't need to bend anything, the bolt comes out no issues. The only issue you will have is undoing the bolt. It is tight as shit. You'll need a breaker bar 100%. Access to the bolt is tight on the drivers side.

Also, when you separate the spindle tie it to something so it doesn't swing all over the place.

So potential stupid question. Just a heads up. So I am about to remove my sway bar and was wondering since I have an ARB front locker will removing the sway bar hurt the locker or axle when engaged? I never use my locker when turning. Only when going straight cause of the IFS and too scared to bind my axle. Rarely used, but nice to have.

Didn’t trip off the fact that I forgot to adjust the shock to be taller. It’s only at 2”. How may threads should I be at to make a 3” lift?

This is where they are at now. And can I adjust while on truck?

give it a try. You might be able to squeeze 2 turns. First try I had to remove them and use a springs compressor. then second time I was able to get 2 more full turns driver side with them on ( was correcting driver lean ). I snapped their tool right in. bitch to remove..

Edit to add: looks like you have oem KINGS settings: 7~8 threads each side. Measure the height difference between driver and passenger. in my case I added 5 threads driver side.

Oh damn. That doesn’t sound like a good time. I really don’t want to have to remove the shock again. Ahhhh! What’s weird is that when I took my measurements for Filthy Motorsports my truck was only off by 1/4”. So my lean isn’t too bad at all. But I only have the 25 gallon tank. Weak

I believe Toyota correct one side vs the other on their stock suspension already. When you go to aftermarket, you reset those settings so the lean might be more pronounced.
with stock TRD I think i had about 1/4" lean. As soon as I switched to Kings I was almost 1". same gas tank as yours. So before going for your lift height, fix the lean first.

I’m looking online at the moment. Think I might just buy one. I like to own lots of tools. Since I may have to use it more than once. Any recommendations on one that works well?

Coachbuilder shims are the way to go. Then you are not preloading your driver's side spring way more than the passengers side

    Drivers side 2 shims

    Passenger side 1 shim

I’m not going the shim route. I’m actually going to sell my CB shim and CB+3 shackles. So anybody who has King OEM shocks how many threads are showing to create a 3” lift? I have 7 on one side and 8 on the other.

King says 7 threads is 2.5" and every 5 threads showing after that is approx 1". Just remember kings have a fine line where the ride turn to sh!t if you have 600# springs.

Even if I told them I wanted to use them at 3” and got them custom valved? I’m emailing Filthy Motorsports to ask them if that’s cool, but I know they are super busy and won’t get back to me till tomorrow.

I got my Kings from Filthy Motorsports too, I had them value them for 100% off roading. They ride awesome on road, but even better off road. I choose to go with a 700 coil spring and it was a great call. Especially like when you are off roading definitely helps me when I off-road fast. Here is a photo of the rear shocks, I dont have a picture of the coilovers on my phone. IMG_6551.jpg
