hey guys, just mounted up a Yeti bottle opener on the inside of my truck bed. My question to ya'll is, should I spray paint it black to blend in with the bed or leave it? I'm leaning towards keeping it, but wanted your guys' opinion, regardless.

Hey, Law! My vote would be black as well. I don't know what metal the opener is made from but a couple coats of paint may keep it or the screws from rusting and transferring it to the truck bed. I would probably use some Rustoleum bed liner spray (heard some good things about it on another post) and it should match up nicely with your bed liner. I would also place some silicone in the screw holes. Looks good!

Thanks bud! Silicone's already applied on edges and inside/outside screw holes as of this morning, and the metal is stainless, so no potential rust!
Yep, rustoleum bed liner's exactly what I was thinking! Great minds bro!

TBH looks good as it is, but black would look good as well. Depends if you are trying to hide it or trying to make it stand out?

My vote is to leave it. It will be easier to find in the dark, especially if you already had one or two. But black is more stealthy for sure.

$350 would be a good deal around here depending on if it is a name brand or not.

350 sounds like a good deal. My cousin got his F150 sprayed for 450 (rhino) I wouldn't really know though, I bought mine like this.

You should do both. Black out then buff it so YETI stands out in silver.

It really doesn't make a difference to me. It's not super bright, more of a dirty brushed nickel look as is, and I dig that color, but bed lined would make it look equally cool.

Just a suggestion, maybe rivet it into place. Then you don't have to worry about the screws backing out over time. I vote black as well

Good call on the rivets, but I'm thinking since its screwed in metal and rubber, lined with silicone, sucker ain't going anywhere for a good while.

Leave it. That way, it stands out. Easier to find if you send someone there to open their bottle for the first time.

Just popped it's cherry yesterday after work. Finally got to park my truck in the backyard and sit down with a few beers and enjoy nature's silence with my dog. Held up like a champ. Doubt I'll need bolts or rivets.
Glad I did it!! It's a nice conversation piece, and functional too!

I don't know why I didn't respond to this, man!
My cousins rhino liner has held up great through three or four years of cinder blocks, kegs, logs, couches and a fridge LOL it still looks like it did when he first got it. Honestly, it made me wish my truck didn't come with the factory spray in

Good! I've been toying with the idea of just getting one of the DIY Rhino Liner kits and getting it done myself, rather than paying someone $500. Idk if I have the patience to sand down the bed though lol.
