    Greetings Tundras.com!

    I've been reading this forum for a bout 6 months and it is amazing how much support and information is available! Kudos!

    I purchased a 2018 CM Tundra 4x4 in September with the intention of building a weekend offroad/overlanding/camping rig for me and my 3 y/o son!!

    It will be a slow build, but I am excited to get rolling.

    To date I have done some interior mods to eliminate chrome/silver with some vinyl wraps, ordered a key fob from AJT, added an ARB summit bumper and 12,500 Warn Winch.

    The next item up for bid is a beautiful new front suspension to support the moose killer of a bumper ARB supplied!

    Appreciate all the time the tundras.com members put into this forum and if I can offer any insight based on my build, I'm here to help!

    Cheers and happy offroading!

    honestly just stuck them on the bumper last week and am waiting to install a custom relay/fuse panel and switch panel before I permanently wire them. Glam lights as of now. And even so, they are cheapo's from Amazon until my Tundra savings jar can afford the ARB's at $800 each.

    Hey hnsmrob
    Just bought the same ARB Summit bumper and a Warn winch as well. It’s currently sitting in the garage waiting for warmer weather and some extra time to start the install. How did yours go?

    @Big Dog Tundra

    Welcome to the 'if I only had another $500' club!!

    The ARB was a bitch! The installation directions are all set up for the Ausies (ARB is manufactured in Australia), make sure you get a compatible winch. I have the VR12-S and you have to make a custom mounting plate for the winch, and the release lever is located on the back of the winch when it's installed and you have to have some small hands/wrists to reach it through the bumper opening. All in all, I love the bumper and winch, just has some little nuances that have to be worked with.

    As far as the install, I had the Toyota dealership install mine so that I could have all the factory sensors recalibrated. I pre-assembled everything, then had the shop mount it. Then I ran all the electrical to the lights and winch. AH.....another thing, the wire harness for the stock fog lights do not plug n play with the ARB lights. I just stripped them down and sealed the ARB harness to the wires (easy enough), and.....the ARB indicator and parking lights can be a bit tricky because they provide a wiring harness to go to the fuse box, I simply spliced into the wires for the headlights (worked out great).

    So....there is a bit of the frustration I dealt with. All in all, again, great product and couldn't be happier.

    Hit me up if you have some more specific questions, I'll do my best to help you with them based on my experience.

    All good stuff to know. I have the Zeon Platinum 12S which should alleviate the problem with the release lever. Thankfully this is not a daily driver so I won’t need to be in a hurry. Thanks for the heads up with the install. Much appreciated.
