    I owned a Tundra SR5 since 2003 and that was the first one. Now I have a 2004 Tundra Limited. Both were 4x4s and both have been excellent trucks. I do my own maintenance and mods. Always managed to find well maintained Tundras.
    Was born in Minnesota in 1940 and moved to L A in 1972 and spent the next 37 years working in the defense industry. Moved back to the mid-west to be close to family.

    Thanks everyone for your welcome to this new to me Forum.
    I have to say there are times being back where I was born makes we wish I were still in SoCal where I worked for a long time.
    Our home was in Reseda most of the time there. I worked at our facility in Van Nuys until the firm relocated to the Agoura Hills area in the late 90's.

    Tundra Solutions was awesome back in the day. 2001 was when I joined there. They haven't had much going in for several years now and seem to be stuck in "1st gen" mode. There's very little about 2nd or 3rd gens on that site. I found Lon's Garage -- a really good collection of instructions for DIY mods, .pdfs of the actual service manuals for any number of maintenance tasks, etc. -- to be a particularly awesome resource early in my 2001 Tundra ownership. Unfortunately, as time went on, none of that was maintained and all of the links are broken now.

    Thank you each and every one for the welcoming. My son still drives my former 2000 SR5 most every day and although portions of the frame are rusted out it does what he wants from it. When I croak (I'm just short of 80 years old) and my wife of 57 years passed away in May I'm still doing odds and ends and helping people when I can. Love you all!!!
