    hello,

not a tundra owner quite yet but soon to be. within the next year. had a 3rd kid and the tacoma is just too tight now. need the crewmax.

been lurking for too long, time to create an account.

been watching the 3rd gen engine fiasco for quite a while, from what I can tell it's mostly over? last I dug in engines past 4/24 don't seem to be failing.

this has been my major setback from purchasing.

target is a 2024+ black trd pro w/ 5k miles or less.

considered! i (like many of the folks here) like to do my own maintenance so I love the idea of having as much of that history be under my belt as possible. i also love the aesthetics of the redesign and the idea of twin turbos (did the subaru thing for many years before I got a truck).

also in general these trucks as well as tacos hold value so well, it's always hard for me to go used. the prices are so close to new it seems to me it makes sense to only get very gently used or just go brand new.

This. Exactly what I did, but did not need the cab space so went with a double cab. But 20-21 were also the last years for the hefty 5.7

There's a solution to get a 2/2.5 gen half of the turbo setup you are wanting: https://www.tundras.com/threads/turbo-charging-a-tundra.115951/
