    2005 Tundra Access V-8 Auto 4x4
    Hello All,

After looking for a suitable Tundra for a looong time I finally found a 2005, one owner, access cab, 4x4, V-8, from California, with only 85,000 miles. :bananadance:

So far I have put a Snugtop camper shell on the truck and built a bed in the back, (I camp a lot).
I changed out the stock stereo head unit and speakers with gear from Crutchfield, and now have Bluetooth capabilities, Sirius XM, an iPod connection and backup camera. As an FYI, for anyone installing a backup camera on a 2005, the wire for the backup lights is under the front driver seat carpet, NOT under the left front kick panel.
Because I rarely have more than two people in the truck, I pulled the back seat out and put sound proofing on the back wall of the cab to give a LOT more storage space behind the front seat.
The headlights were a bit foggy, so first switched them out with some Chinese units from Headlight Depot. These turned out to be AWFUL, impossible to adjust so they would not cast weird shadows, so I bought a 3M kit, buffed out the originals and reinstalled and they are great now. (If anyone wants to buy some barely used Chinese lights, I would LOVE to off the ones I have for almost nothing)
I put a little center hump caddie (from Amazon), on the driveshaft tunnel on the floor of the cab which gives some great storage for my work stuff.
The next major work will be to change out the timing belt, pulleys and water pump as it has never been done, but I need to wait for some solid weather this spring to dive in to that.
The truck has been fantastic so far and looking forward to having it for years to come.

    Cheers,

    WaterOp

Welcome from SoCal! Great find: one owner, 85,000 miles :hattip:.

Post up some pics so we can know what team you play for (the color of your Tundra matters more than you might think o_O, on this forum.)

Yes. A couple times I've noticed someone registered so they could PM somebody selling something. But then I wonder, why bother to introduce yourself to the rest of us...? Why I often don't respond with a welcome 'til we see pics.

Almaboy, Sunnier and the rest of you that have taken the time to welcome me,

Thank you for taking the time! I'm currently working three jobs, (the life of a "regular" person trying to survive in Tahoe)so just don't have a lot of spare time to spend on the forum.

More posts, (and some photos) will follow when I get a chance.

I do appreciate all of the feedback and support.

    Cheers,

We're excited to have you with us. And weren't bagging on you; just curious about a kind of trend and, as often happens around here, hijacked your thread to comment on it.

Yeah, 3 jobs sucks. A lot of juggling, But... Tahoe!
