@ccdawnpatrol, I have a DC and it is plenty big enough for 3 adults in the back for, say, a couple of hours, or kids and large dogs for long road trips. Only if I would be transporting college basketball centers or Great Danes, would I switch to a CW. I like being able to sleep/ camp in the bed. If you start a new thread, and copy/ paste your post on that, you'll probably get a lot of good feedback. Plus a warm welcome all your own!

Hello, @ChristianEKR! Welcome from San Diego County! We're visiting San Clemente for the weekend and, dang, I see a lot of good looking Tundras 'round here!

Welcome from Illinois, Christian! My wife is from Orange and we always visit Laguna Beach when we go back to visit. Beautiful place!

@ccdawnpatrol ... Crewmax all day long if you have a family. The double cab would probably work fine, but no comparison on interior space. Both models have their advantages, but unless you really need that extra foot of bed space, your family would be much happier in the Crewmax.

Thanks, new Tundra bud! We don't get up this way often but came up last night and enjoyed dinner and dancing at Iva Lee. Band was the Boxcar 7, classic R&B-- and we had a fine time! If you haven't tried it, it's pretty fun. I'll keep my eyes peeled for your truck and say hello if we spot you.

Edit: We drove through various picturesque neighborhood and along the shore, daydreaming about living here sometime, and I looked for your truck, but no sighting. I'll remember to do the same next time.

Hey all! I am getting closer to purchasing a Tundra, like really close. A dealer in Huntington Beach offered me a 2017 SR5, 4x4, Crew Max for $35,610. (See attached pdf) That is before taxes and warranty. Does that seem like a good deal or should I try squeezing him for a little more? I have sent that quote around to other dealers and they are able to match it. But I am looking for an MGM essentially, not silver. Thanks!

that's not bad. It's the dealership I go to. big dealer in SoCal so I'm sure you can squeeze a bit more.

@ccdawnpatrol my sticker was $36,900 for a 2017. I left at 28,250. It was the last model year 17 in OC/SD in the color I wanted. They discounted to 32,500 with a 1,750 rebate and I countered at 30,000 with the same rebate. They bit. I got my payments on a 72 month Finance under $600. Mines a 2x4 though because I didn’t need 4wd.
