    Hi all.

Name is David and currently own a 2008 Toyota Highlander.

Waiting on a 22 Tundra 1794 w/TRD off-road package in Wind Chill Pearl with Saddle colored interior.

Delayed 1x so far but last I checked my Tundra should be here on 2/24.

Decided to stick with Toyota as my Highlander has over 237,000 miles with me not having to do much at all to keep her going although admittedly she’s showing signs of slowing down :)

Looking forward to sharing pics when I take delivery and like many here am hoping I wind up one of the lucky ones without any turbo wastegate issues…

Thanks to everyone for the welcome and thanks Jim for your service. Lived in the Hudson Valley myself before moving to Fl. Retired from the NYPD.

And thanks Dan for the heads up, I’ve been reading the forums but am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Got a car with 237,000 miles and have been waiting for a new Sequoia or Tundra for a long long time. Plus times ain’t like the old days where you can get a good deal on a leftover 21.

Have had 3 Toyota’s in the family at different times all from 225k to 275k miles and so I’m thinking and hoping the 22’s will be no different in the end even though I’ve heard about the issues and am a little nervous.

Buying for MSRP and dealer provides a lifetime powertrain for free as long as I stick to all service intervals and so this is of course a little extra piece of mind…
