Eleven week lead time is long without powder coating. Group buy would send it over the edge and orders would get cancelled.

 

I don't think it's too long. The Tundra is far from their bread and butter, so they are probably only made to order and when their bigger product lines allow. Just my thoughts on it.

That was easy. Drill holes, tighten nuts, wire lights to SPOD.

 

How far from the grille and how far apart did you drill holes?

 

I centered the holes on the cutout below and used the ole eyecrometer to figure out how far from the grill.

I see a few discussing a possible group buy for tundra products. While we would love to offer that for you guys, we are just finally getting caught up and shipping orders on time from when we extended lead times about 3 months ago. You guys wouldn't happen to be planning a full tube bumper would you? I'd really like a tube bumper with a hoop and abs valance.

What type of mounts do you recommend for mounting items to your bed rack, like TREDS or Maxtrax?

 

We do not have plans to make a full tube bumper.

 

The maxtrax mounting pins will bolt right into the slotted holes on the sides of the bedrack. You will just have to position the bed rack close enough together so that the Maxtrax can reach a cross them and attach to the mounting pins.
As of right now we do not make a mounting panel that attaches between the racks to bolt other accessories to, but we should come up with one of those. It would be pretty simple to make.

@C4 Fab I have a dumb question, I am heavily leaning towards getting the C4 Hybrid front bumper for my Tundra, have you guys tested this against deer impacts? How do they hold up if you hit an object on the road? Its deer season in my area and wanted to know if there was similar protection compared to Ranch Hand and ARB.

 

I think it’s been tested on cow impacts actually (and unfortunately)

Yes one of our customers has actually hit a cow with his tundra and it held up pretty dang good. Really didn’t do much damage to the bumper at all, granted that one was the overland front so it’s a bit stronger on the corners because of the full plate steel construction, but the hybrid is still quite strong since we support the tubes with plate gussets behind them on both tubes. I wouldn’t be worried about one holding up to a deer hit.
the ARB and ranch hand will offer more protection around the headlight area than our bumper will, so that is definitely something you will want to consider. Overall looks and Fitment to the vehicle is going to be better with ours compared to the other two options. Also Ranch hand and ARB actually decrease clearance and approach angles since they are so bulky and protrude so far out in front of the vehicle. So if you are wanting to maintain your off road capabilities and get maximum clearance and approach angle out of your bolt on winch bumper, you would definitely be better off choosing ours. That gives you a few things to think about!

Do you have any suggestions and/or workarounds to a full height bull bar and SR5 TSS sensor location on 3rd gen tundras? Your bumpers look awesome, I'm just wondering if I need to also plan on purchasing a TRD Pro grill and sensor relocation kit in order to make this all work.

 

Will that tool be on sale at Harbor Freight or anywhere else?

 

You can usually find it at Auto Zone in the same section as the blinker fluid.

Been eyeing your offerings and I’m impressed. Would love to have full offerings for the 2nd gen, love that plate bumper and a rear bumper with integrated steps would be rad as well. Can’t wait to see more 2nd gen stuff!

 

Old thread but anyone using the DD SS30 light bar, did you have to install it upside down to get the brackets to work or are there special ones that you all know if they curve inward instead of outward? Just got my bumper today and didn’t want to install the led bar upside down yet. Thanks!
