Hey everyone, I'm new here! I just picked up a 2006 DC SR5 in Salsa Red this week. I actually purchased it out of a Honda dealer down in Phoenix, I had a buddy go look at it and it seemed like a decent deal so I bought it. It has 103,000 miles on it, and paid right around $15,000 for it. The carfax shows it has lived in Washington and Florida it's entire life, so I'm not entirely sure how it ended up in Arizona. I am still setting up shipping for it, so I don't have it quite yet, but I have already purchased a new set of LT265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws, and a pair of OEM Toyota lower ball joints. When I get it I'll make a judgement call on the timing belt/water pump; the carfax doesn't show it being done but it has a sticker on the timing cover.....the only issue is you can't read what mileage it says.

Other than that, the ugly tonneau cover will be coming off and I'll be doing some kind of a roll-on bedliner. It will also be getting some kind of an Apple CarPlay radio.

Later on down the road I'll lift it, do some sort of exhaust and maybe some armor.

Here are some photos from the dealer's website:

That or something similar! I've heard decent things about the Herculiner roll-on kit that you can pick up for around $80. I may give that the ole' college try.

Only 4 months so far. It’s not a work truck by any means but has held up well after a load of stone steppers, wood chips and hauling tools to a recent project. I’d recommend it, cheap and easy.

Welcome. You probably already know this, but punch your VIN into the Toyota Owners website. It gave more detailed info than carfax in my case. I went through the same thing trying to determine if the timing belt had been changed when I bought my 06 and had it shipped from FL.

Thank you! It had Billy 5100s, with Toytec/Eibach front springs and OME 890 rears. It was pretty basic but it worked for the weekend warrior off-roading that I was doing.

I did not know about this, thanks for the suggestion!

I would post this in the FS/WTB section, but apparently you have to be a member for 30 days...

Is there anyone parting out a salsa red DC? I need both rear flares. Both of mine have body damage :(
