Having a 10 month old who goes to bed for the night at 6pm has kept me from doing much night driving. I have had to do more driving in the dark recently and even though I love my LEDs I'm thinking of pulling them out for the stock bulbs again. I love the crisp white of the LEDs but I feel as though it would be easy to out drive the lights (even though I know it's not). Like you said, the light output just seems short.

I think I'm going to go the route that @HWU went and get some new housings. The new housings along with some crisp white bulbs should help me a lot.

Hey guys. I thought I should chime in on those led bulbs since I have installed quite a few in various cars, that doesn't make me an expert but at least I can offer some help.
The quality and light output varies dramatically, most are built in China. most are the 2 sided versions which makes output awkward when placing them in the older style halogen headlamps, projectors are better, but in the halogen headlamps you have to look at the reflection pattern and place the bulb in a way that works with the pattern if that is possible. For instance, placing the bulb so the led's are firing top and bottom or left and right. Some vehicles the bulb goes in just way and that sucks

Do you have a picture of your light output against a wall? I just installed the same kits on my 2014 Tundra, the beams scatter this so bad that it lights up my neighbor second level windows and it's on a low setting.

Do the new housings you got have a yellowish tinge you them at all?

I removed the LED conversion I had and have noticed a yellow hue in my lights since. It's rather annoying.

I have spyder headlights and tail lights. Looks are absolutely incredible. Completely changed the look of my truck. Functionality is minimal. Housing broke within the first month and lighting is extremely poor even with very nice bulbs
