Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. This is actually my first pistol. I have a handful of rifles and shotguns for sporting clays. I had been looking well before all this chaos, but went ahead and bought. I am going to take the 8-hour class to get my enhanced carry permit. Not sure when, but once the craziness settles down. Talked to a couple gun shops and the are still doing classes as the are "essential businesses". Everyone around me I know has carry permits and carries. My wife is wanting to do the same thing as she is a medical professional and goes to patients houses sometimes.

There is a local online auction for a gun shop. I put bids in on 5 pistols of different varieties. 9mm, .380, .22lr. It I win those, I will have a lot of explaining to due to the misses.

I like the Hellcat (but as I stated before, need more practice with it).

I really like the slightly larger framed firearms (VP9SK, P10-S & P320 X-Compact) more though.

Yeah I bought the p365 with the wife in mind also. Wanted something pretty small to get comnfortablw carrying IWB. I have pretty large hands. Bigger than average so I think a little larger gun might feel better also overtime. The p365 feels pretty good though.

I ordered the 12 and 15 magazine to help with my hand size.

you’ll love the larger magazines ... though when you see the 15 rounders in person, you’ll see that the firearm starts to lose some of it’s conceal ability. One area the Hellcat has over the 365.

10-4. I actually think the 10 round extended feels really good so the 12-round will probably be winner winner chicken drinker.

My wife was the one who suggested I

    - buy my Tundra 3 weeks ago
    - buy more ammo.

Man, I sure love my wife. :D

I carried a g43 for a few years, then about 3-4 months ago bought a p365xl. You made the right choice. Somehow Sig managed to put 2x the rounds in the same size package. The p365xl is literally the exact same as the Glock 43. Now instead of carrying an extra mag in my pocket with a +2 extension to get to 15 rds total (6+1+8) I've got 25rds taking up the exact same amount of space (12+1+12). And it shoots better. The only thing I prefer about the Glock is (believe it or not) the trigger.

Yesterday was a bad day again....

Went to academy where they actually had some ammo. Bought Federal Premium in 150 count and Hornaday Critical Defense in 25 count.

Then went to an actual gun store in West Knoxville where I bought the 12 and 15 round magazine.

Now thinking about a laser for the heck of it. The 8-hour classes are still being taught here, just limited to 10 people. Enrolled in a class at the end of the month to get TN Enhanced Carry Permit.

Currently winning an auction for a Ruger SR22 and .380.

The Glocks and Sigs are already almost at retail with 4 days left of bidding. By the time you pay buyers premium and tax you are basically at store retails.

Nope, especially now with everything going on. I was only able to find a Glock 43x at one shop anywhere close to here. Ended up going with the Sig but these 2 brands for sure seem to be the most popular obviously.

My buddy bought the 365 SAS and can’t hit the target to save his ass. He said it shoots 6 inches left. He called Sig and was told it’s a known problem and that the SAS is really only good out to 10 feet because of the sight design. He was told it’s mainly just a point and shoot.
He’s thinking of buying the original slide for it.
I have the original and have zero issues. I love it.

Sweet ,you can also get a 15 round clip for it,with one in the chamber you get 16 rounds, not bad for a tiny gun ,and the 15 round clip only sticks out about a half inch.good choice

I contemplated the SAS. I looked through the site in the store and didn't care for it but have not shot it.

Shot the P365 SAS over the weekend, I agree with your statement. It's a close quarter defense handgun inside 7ft haha. We were shooting at a 10"x12" gong at 10yds and missed it 24% of the time. It wasn't very rewarding. lol I ended up getting Hellcat.

Sigs are very nice weapons that's for sure.
I have been a Glock fan for some time. I decide to add the 43X to my
hand gun collection. Btw, the Glock store and Shield Arms offer a 15 round mag for the 43X.
Of course they are on back order.

    lol...

i don't always correct others, but when i do, it's clip vs. magazine.

the improper use of clip vs. magazine is worse than nails on a chalkboard.

my old man still says clip. :facepalm:i suggest that he use a magazine to properly load his firearms.

i say to him, here's what i say, i say, "old man, it just will not work the same jamming a bunch of rounds bound together on a clip strip in the magazine well."

side note: he has responsibly owned, fired, and hunted w/ firearms for 50+ years.

maybe he just uses the word "clip" around me. cause he knows how much it bothers me. :annoyed:

P365 has been my EDC for almost 2 years. It replaced a Kahr CM9. Smaller, plus 4 or 6 rounds, and shoots more accurately. Don't really care about brand loyalty like some do.

Only downside is I've accidentally hit the mag release a few times when racking the slide.

This thing slips into my pocket in a holster just as easily as the Kahr did, or carry it on the belt depending what I'm doing. I carry it from basically the time I wake up until I go to bed, everyday

Non gun owner friend who’s been out shooting with us once a long time ago is calling soon to ask for advice on a CC/HD purchase with all the craziness going on. To not overwhelm him with choices I plan to have him shoot a 365 before anything else and stop there if he does well with it and it fits his hand. He can carry with a 10 round magazine in it, then when he gets home pop that out and put the new 15 they made for it in it before putting it in the safe if he decides 10+1 is insufficient for at home.

I’ll Just bump him up to a 320 Compact if the 365 is too awkward. I am a huge fan of the Sig trigger and I think it’s the best thing short of a 1911 for a new shooter looking for something where they can learn good trigger pulls fast. Better than my Glock’s.

My brother, and lots of internet reviews, prefer the CZ P10S to the P365. By all accounts it is similarly concealable, more comfortable in large/average hands, and has a better trigger. I still bought a P365 with the 12 round mags.

I am unfamiliar with the CZ but know people who have put tons of rounds through versions of the 365 and 320 including me owning a full size P320. I hear great things about the CZs. But I just tend to shy away from pointing anybody asking for my suggestion towards things I only know about from articles. I only suggest things I and/or people I know own or shot extensively, S&W, Glocks or Sigs.
