They’re definitely speedy. I’m actually over here holding back ordering it so that it won’t arrive until I’m back from a trip on Monday.

This is only partially true and depends on who does your smog inspection and what county you live in.

Some rural counties in California do not require annual smog tests. For instance, I have a friend with a vacation home in Lake Tahoe and he has all of his vehicles registered at that address as they do need to do smog tests there due to low population.

The other side of the story is that part of the California smog inspection is visual and they are trained to look for an indication on your converters that they are either OEM or CARB Approved if aftermarket. This is luck of the draw on who inspects your vehicle. Some of them are lazy or don't care and some of them are very anal.

The third side of the story is that randomly (luck of the draw), you can be assigned to get a "STAR" smog in California, which means you have to go to an inspector who is STAR certified and they are expected to do a more thorough inspection of your vehicle per the STAR guidelines. You just never know...

My 2006 Tacoma was throwing codes for Cat Efficiency on one bank, but I had no loss of power, so I installed downstream O2 sensor spacers to make the CEL go away. My smog inspector was under my truck with a flashlight and noticed the spacer. He went an got his boss to come and look. The manager pulled me into the office and basically let me know that he knew what was going on and I should be aware that it's illegal, but he is going to turn a blind eye in this case.

So, just know that you never know...

Any snags that you ran into? As soon as I get my truck back, it'll be summer break in full swing so I'll slap mine on. Will be interesting to see if it bolts up ok to my downpipes from the headers.

Maybe you should wait to hear TRD exhaust with these midpipes instead. :D

If it’s anything like what I’ve heard with catted longtubes with the TRD duals, it will be glorious.

Define "midpipes". I can only run the Catback. I can't run the High Flow cats from SPD as I'm in California and don't need the hassle. Plus, I only have 30K on my truck. I'm just not a fan of the look of the TRD exhaust exits. I like the idea of the over axle exit and the sound clips are very nice.

I will also be adding a 2650 Supercharger later this year if everything goes to plan.

I don't really "need" a new cat back. I just "want" something different and I'm convinced that a cat back doesn't actually make any difference in performance, any way.

There are no TRD Cat Back's listed on FB or CL in my area so no clue on what I could ask. Will have to put a feeler out to see if there is actually demand.

Set your price with the statement: DONT LOWBALL ME! I KNOW WHAT I HAVE!

30K on exhaust is practically new. I would look at what a new set demands and knock of some off the top for cosmetic and slightly used. OBO if you are trying to off load quickly.

Do I need gaskets of fasteners to R&R these? I'd rather order now & have them than get under there & find out I'm not doing anything. lol

Other than rounding one of the old flange bolts none at all. Just had to muscle the muffler section in a bit so there were no gaps at the connection.but overall install was pretty simple.

They come with new gaskets and fresh flange bolts. Only thing I had to replace was a hangar insulator I tore during removal.

Apparently the exhaust changed in '14 & these are for 14+

    Screenshot 2024-05-23 at 3.51.04 PM.png

They said just have the flange moved. OK

It says it in the listing, I got so excited, I just ponied up!

    lol

They were great, said I can cancel up to shipping no problem & Can return at my cost as long as they are undamaged, if they ship I'm keeping them.

    :p

I said let it ride, I have a shop!

I had a 2010, the flanges were in the same spots as my 2017. Corsa said the same thing that their system was for 2014+ but I had it on my 2010.
