Got them installed this afternoon and it definitely cuts down on the drone I had prior. My test was calling my buddy up on the way home to see if he could hear me haha before this I literally couldn't take/make phone calls. It was a success!

Looks like it wouldn’t clear with a spare tire?

I didn't mount with concern of that for obvious reasons and Keith was made aware of that. If you needed to clear the tire, I'm sure he could design something to work.

My downpipes will be available sometime in the next few months since I’m moving to long tube headers. Excited to see the difference of each. I wouldn’t really call the sound drone more of aggressive sound. Never had an issue taking calls etc but we’ll see how much that changes with the new setup

Interesting. This is about the only issue I have. Talking on the phone via Apple CarPlay is marginal, at best. Manageable if I drive real nice. Talking to text is a challenge also.

Honestly, these are the biggest reasons I’m going to try something else. Sounds real cool, but the downside is starting to outweigh the cool part for this guy.

I haven’t had any issues holding meetings while in the truck and driving around but I also have an aftermarket head unit and the mic is sitting on the bottom of the gauge cluster facing me.

Nope. OEM manifolds, downpipes, and all cats. Just the SPD cat-back.

Borla dual ... driving it like a Prius I did sense a tad bit of loss down low but it snaps out of that very quickly with a slight stab of the pedal. Maybe a little more drone than stock under load but nothing to hinder cockpit communications. Plus you get a million mile warranty.

Nice! I would contact them though and ask if they can still apply the TUNDRANATION discount code to your order, saves you $119.50 right now.
When I ordered it back in September the code only discounted like $59.

The hemholtz can also be placed on the outlet of the exhaust going up and over the muffler towards the front. Keith likes to place them on the exit side as he says it reduces more drone than in front. That's my welding of the hemz copying his setup as its pretty fuggly.

Delivered this morning, box was torn but the interior foam protected the contents:

One of the inlet pipes was bent, but it is protected by the foam in the box, so it must've left SPD in this condition. Nothing vice grips couldn't fix:

    Out with the old Magnaflows:

    In with the new:

Clearance with a 35" brand new spare tire is about 3/4":

The exhaust tone is fantastic; almost exactly like SPD's video and the videos @reywcms posted. Definitely what I was looking for. Full disclosure, it does have drone, but I don’t mind it. Build quality is excellent; welds are good. Instructions would've been nice for amateurs like me, but as SPD said in an e-mail to me (they are very responsive), installation is intuitive. Installation was about 3 hours.

Shout out to @reywcms for starting this thread...couldn't be happier! :hattip:

Update, I sent SPD pics of the inlet damage. They normally would pay to have it returned, fix it themselves, then send it back, but since I repaired it myself, they gave me a refund for what they would’ve paid for the return shipping. Excellent customer service from a company that takes pride in their workmanship!

would you get different sound if you were to move the mufflers forward than before the axle?
had the x pipe further to the front before the mufflers as to having the x pipe right before the mufflers?

I wouldn't expect the sound to change much outside the cab, but could change the sound/volume inside. On an old truck, I played with muffler placement (Flowmasters) and positioning them further back under the bed was much quieter inside than when they were located under the cab.
