Fuck yeah. Thanks for confirming this. I should have 1.5 to 1.75” clear with my 35” spare.

If there is a lift open tonight, I may slap this together…

I did it on my back in my driveway. Took me maybe an hour and that included having to cut off one of the welded on nuts that was messed up.

If I’m on my back for an hour, I’ll likely take a nap.

If I do it on my buddy’s lift, I’ll likely have beers.

Got it unloaded and looked at it. Mmmm hmmm. Sexy.

Decided that it was more important to do a 5-tire rotate and balance on my truck, swap worn out tires with new on Matt’s Ford for hunting season, and swap out a handful of tires for a couple of Sky’s 4Runners. Tired of acting like a tire guy and getting some beers in me.

Pushed exhaust box into corner of the shop for next Tuesday…

Well just finished installing the downpipes and cat back. coming from a dd trd replacement 5x12 that ive had for 2 years.

Words cannot describe the sounds of this thing. It is loud lmao. I love it. Quiet when I was on cruise control at 45 mph couldn't really hear much at all but as soon as you push the throttle this thing wakes up!

Weird. Mine was packed differently. The sticker was at the other end of the box near the flange…

well today ended in failure and disappointment. Tried bolting on the exhaust, but wont work due to my wonky midpipes, sigh...
long story short had some exhaust mishaps with my dirtydeeds midpipes sometime back, had them repaired at a local shop, but looks like they didn't measure and align things properly, idk how they even mounted the current exhaust, but when I bolted up the first sections of the exhaust they angle opposite of each other and the driver side extends further out. no amount of adjusting got them in line with each other, so gotta put the old exhaust back in.
Idk when I'll get the SPD exhaust on but now I gotta figure out if I can send my mid pipes to dirtydeeds to get them repaired properly, just purchase a whole new set from him or scrap the jba headers and dirtydeeds midpipes for some Stainless works headers.
Now I'm just sitting here tired and frustrated staring at my exhaust lol

Let’s see some pics. Doesn’t seem like a difficult fix to rework the layout any true fab shop can do this

ill get back under the truck tomorrow and get some pics. left most of it under the truck since it started getting dark and I was tired, just pulled the box with the muffler section back inside.
as far as true fab shops, I'm honestly not aware of any local to me that are within 30 minutes. most places around here are just the typical muffler shops that cut and weld.

I can’t imagine an exhaust shop that couldn’t modify a mid pipe to make it work. It’s not that complicated.

For sure, there's a few exhausts shops around here, have been to most of them. I agree not complicated, but if I could just get them to listen and do what I'm asking for the first time around I'd be golden, typically why I don't trust most of them

This system sounds amazing with the full midpipes and catback. I can tell it’s definitely loud and agressive, but it sounds smooth at the same time. I wonder if it would be super annoying towing for hours on end. I’m sure you mentioned it before, but how is the drone when cruising with the full system now that you’ve had it a while?

I just did a 6hr round trip with it and it’s nice and chill around 70mph. 85mph is loud but I’m also spinning 2900rpm doing it.

Yeah towing in S4 I’d sit at about 2800, S5 about 2200. Other systems I’ve had like the Carven droned the worst at about 1800.

It’s mild when cruising and loud when you want it to be. I’d say start with the catback first you can always add the down pipe section later. I wouldn’t call drone but you can hear the exhaust.

Too late, I already have the midpipes for months now.:D I’ve been waiting to install them until I can get the truck on my mechanics lift since I want to try and salvage the factory ones all in one piece. I was gonna see how they paired with the TRD catback system before buying the SPD catback.

I’ve towed my rzr for a couple of hours. S5 between 60-70mph. Not bad at all. The worst part is when the truck wants to shift into the highest gear and be at like 1300rpm and you want to try and accelerate from that. That’s when it gets loud inside. Drop a gear and bump the rpm’s up and good to go. Still no regrets on the exhaust though.

In my speaks with Jeremy at SPD, it was recommended to skip on the mid pipes and high flow cats on my N/A truck due to my regular towing. Only due to noise.

His thought was there wouldn’t be much gain unless my OEM cats were junk, and the noise when towing may get annoying.

I should have my cat back in tomorrow evening.

Wasn't able to take pictures yesterday, had to get the old exhaust back on in a hurry since I needed the truck moving. I did figure out what I’m going to do though so I’ll prob have the exhaust in a week or two.
