New Dash Display Options??

I have to admit I've been disappointed with the display options on the dash LCD screen of my 2015. I was window shopping new tundras, and saw this dealer pic for a 2016. Who else has this option? Is it only 2016 and up, or can I do a software update or something? Any other options available?

 

I'm there with you. My '14 Silverado had all kinds of info in the dash LCD. My wife's '16 Tacoma TRD Sport also has a ton of info and options. My '16 Tundra, next to nothing. Guess it keeps it simple though, but I'd love to be able to get more info there.

 

My '16 limited doesn't have that.

my '16 only has MPG, TIME driving, Tow options, MPG bar 0-30, Settings (which does nothing)

I think that's about it.

 

weird thing is my wife has the 15 highlander and my 16 has more features than hers

 

Same - my 16' TRD Canadian model has limited information on the display. My 2016 Tacoma had a lot more, which as a nerd I enjoyed.

 

Interesting...so how did the dealer take a pic of a digital speedo that no one else has?

Supercharger. That's how good they are. I don't believe I have that option either. Simple is good. No more information that I need so I can keep my eyes on the road.

No worries. You had me excitedly searching the web for about a minute before I put two and two together myself.

 

Crap! for a second i thought the same thing. It seems so stupid there isn't a digital MPH display on a car built now a day. I have a car that is 22yrs old and it has it. For me the analog is just in a bad position for me to see it.

 

Got me there too. I just ran through my display and realized it's that average mph thing which really doesn't offer much. I was excited about the average fuel economy gauge on mine.

 

Why is so important to people? My '14 4Runner has it and the '16 Tacoma we traded in for the Tundra had it and I never used it. There were some technology shortfalls when coming from the '16 Tacoma going to the '17 Limited Tundra but well worth it.
