Honestly Joon, that’s how I live my life as well. I’m methodical and do my homework but when I have something in my head it’s going to happen and sooner rather than later.

I say do it. I have a commuter and an old truck right now until I get my next Tundra. I keep telling myself to wait but I’m getting the itch bad again

I dropped $550.00 on my GS300 back in April for my commuter / project car. It's the commuter for now because we're saving to purchase land and build our home but once the truck is paid off next year and land acquired along with the home build, then I'll build it. My wife actually helped drop the motor and trans! KEEPER:yes:I think to date I have $1500.00 in it

One of the main reasons for looking into another car, i spend so much time in my truck. After insurance and car payment im looking at roughly less than $600 per month to have this sti.
Also I paid off all of my student loans earlier this year. So there is that too. On one hand I justify it as example of having little to no debt and something to enjoy with all of my hard work. But then there is the other hand that is very conservative...

Do it! I bought a new 2017 Honda Civic for my commuter a few years ago. Needed something with good gas mileage for a 60-70 mile round trip everyday.

Yes the tundra will keep getting mods. As of right now I just got my damaged pelfrey bumpers back from powder coating and deciding to put them on or sell them. I feel like one of the lucky few and I just got my check from their insurance for the damages.

Trying to stay in his price range with awd though. The base model is350 f sport awd runs just over 45k, as compared to the 300 f sport at 43.5k.... but yes... the 350 is better

-Audi S4 (V6 SC) fun in stage 2/3, these cars just move. 10’ newer. APR tune...good God. 333 HP stock. The ones I have driven were stage 2.
    -Lexus RC350 F Sport or IS350 306 HP and is actually livable daily. I own a IS350.
-VW R. I have been in a tuned one. Much respect.

Used, and all under 40k with low miles:

-C6 Z06. Just go test drive one. Leave traction control on, stay out of race mode. If you break the rear tires loose, stay in it and counter steer. Your welcome.
-Lexus IS F 416 HP I have driven one. #waistband boner.
-Lexus RC F 467 HP may be my retirement car or a a Z06.

I would suggest something that you could pay cash for or have paid off in 6-12 months. That's just me. Maybe save for 6-12 months and look around a while.

Also, do you have somewhere to park an extra vehicle, if not that could be an extra PITA.

This is a very large part of the reason I sold my SS for the Tundra. Daily driving the SS gave me no incentive to drive the fun car (‘02 Boxster) I purchased just a year before getting the SS.

Sold the SS, did some cosmetic work to the Boxster to renew the look, and purchased the Tundra. Include the wife’s 4Runner and we have a vehicle for any occasion.

Edit: I forgot to say...Just Do It! (as long as the financial situation makes sense).

I have a big enough shop to park it, not worried so much about finding a place to store it. I believe I could have the remaining balance paid off in the next 6-18months depending on much I want to toss at it

Absolutely do it. If the bills are paid, there’s money in the bank, why not. Enjoy life while you can. When you’re in your twilight years and you can’t really enjoy all the $ you’ve squirreled away, youll regret it. I’ve had at least 1 additional toy since 2002, and I’ve never thought “gee I really wish that money I spent on said toy was sitting in the bank collecting interest”. My current toy is a 03 Cobra with 617hp. The brute, unrefined power is a fun change of pace from the Tundra.
