I'm a long-time member of the community and a few months ago I saw a problem for enthusiasts like us that I felt needed a solution: a way to easily manage and share your build information.

That's where Buildprint -- a play on the words build and blueprint -- comes in.

Buildprint is soft-launched as an alpha web application but before it goes into the more stable beta stage there is one feature I'm currently working on that will truly expose how powerful the tool can be, especially for assisting builders that maintain build threads. That feature is the ability to "export" your build's content from Buildprint into a friendly format that you can copy/paste onto your thread here, on other forum software (via BBCode), on reddit (via Markdown), or even on your own web page (via straight HTML).

The basic idea is Buildprint would be a central and essential tool to a builder's arsenal to persist their build's info both accurately and consistently across several social media platforms. To clarify one more time, it is not meant to replace build threads but enhance them and "make builds threads great again" ..or at least try to.

I've spent just over a month trying to develop this tool and I'm excited to finally open it up to the public. So please, if you have a few minutes of time to spare, give my tool a whirl. It's still in the alpha stage so it may be buggy, missing a few features, and have a sparse interface but that is all being worked on. I can only make the app great with the feedback, help, and suggestions from all of you.

The tool can be accessed below:
    http://buildprint.io

Click the REGISTER button at the top right to create your account.

Note: The tool can also be used for other builds, such as a classic car restoration project, trophy truck, or even a stealth street racing Prius.

Some other features I plan on releasing during the alpha are..
    • Mod discovery feature (ie. adding hashtags to your mods and learning about other mods based on your build's hashtags).
    • Uploading multiple photos instead of just a cover photo; a sliding photo gallery will show up on your build page if multiple photos exist.
    • Creating log entries for your builds and mods to document anything.

I put a temporary fix for that bug in just now. Uploads should work again.
