    Nice fit..

I have one in the one of the 12v sockets..
Kinda hard to see with the cover on, but too bright at night with the cover off.

I use my Drone Mobile app when I'm away from the vehicle or sometimes even in it.
Reads the same as that dash unit and my DDM.

Yeah I have a 2nd gen. Yeah that’s very nice. The one I posted is out of the way so the light isn’t that noticeable

    One more update:
    My truck didn't start today.
I called Batteries Plus and reminded them they told he if I had any more problems they said they would replace the battery.
Manager told me he would still have to test it and that they had no loaners.
Remember they kept the battery for 3 days last time they charged and tested it.

I reminded him one more time that he said he would replace the battery, he refused.
I can't go 3 days without my truck.

So, I drove over to Interstate battery and bought a MTP-27F.
Used my 6 month old $219 Batteries Plus X2 Power AGM battery as a $20 core charge trade in.
Even if Batteries Plus charged and tested it, I don't want it.
I charged it myself 5 weeks ago when it started lagging on the start..
I can't sell it in good conscience knowing that there is something wrong with it.
So fu(k Batteries Plus and AGM batteries..

Back to what I know works.
Now I don't have to keep up with battery voltage on a daily basis and wonder if my truck is going to start or not from day to day..

    Enjoy your weekend..

That sucks about Batteries Plus pulling that shit on you. I would have taken it back and requested a full refund. Escalate the issue until you get someone that knows how to take care of their customer.

    It has been just fine..
    No issues at all.

Since I bought that HKB booster for the AGM I left it in the truck.
Ammeter reads around 14 volts when the engine is running., 12.7 before starting when it sits overnight.

I really think I got a lemon X2 Power battery, but Batteries Plus pissed me off not keeping a promise that was made.

I find it hard to pay $250/$300 for an AGM battery just to have to buy a $100 charger and remember charge the damn thing once a month.
What is the advantage of the AGM if it has to be pampered once a month?

I’m running an MTP-27f after going down the rabbit hole of agm just to learn you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Lol. No issues at all with the MTP.

    Thank you.
Everyone raves about the AGM and I bought into the hype, only to end up disappointed.
    I don't feel so alone now...

+1 on the MTP-27F. Put it in when my factory battery failed last beginning of last summer. No issues so far.

I currently have DEka Intimidator AGM in my crewmax and will replace it with a standard 27F when it dies.

I have the battery + AGM 27F and i remember the guy telling me not to let it drop below a certain voltage so I have it on trickle charge when truck is not being used.
I guess AGM batteries are tougher to recover once dead.

I have a 2014 crewmax trd and it has a 15a alt-s fuse instead of 5a. Does anyone know if the HKB 5a will still work?

No, I ditched that POS Batteries Minus AGM after it died twice and they wouldn't replace it..
I traded it in for a $25 core charge for my current Interstate.

I've owned this truck for 7 years.
Had the Compustar alarm/remote start installed the second month I owned it.
Never had a problem with the OEM stock battery or the first Interstate I bought when the OEM died.

I didn't even need a battery when I got caught up in the AGM hype.
But being I have an aftermarket HU, 1000 watt amp, twin 10" Stealthbox, Amp Powersteps (with real LED light strips), LED bed lights, front and rear LED floorboard lights, custom puddle lights, I bought into the hype that I needed an AGM.

WTF is the point of having an AGM if you have to TOP IT OFF once a month with a charger (that I did buy)?

    https://youtu.be/6gLMSf4afzo

I only drive 15 minutes each way to work 5 days a week and drive a lot on the weekends.
Was that not enough to keep it charged?
Apparently not, that fu(ker died on my every 1 or 2 months...

As stated, maybe I got a lemon.
But the a-hole manager at Batteries Minus told me he would replace it, the first time it died, if it happened again.
It happened again and he refused to replace it.
