New 07-13 Spyder's just ordered....

Yup seems to be. He said they're heatsink on the back sticks out an extra three quarters of an inch. The dust covers that come on the Spyders I believe are about an inch deep. So I'm hoping this will work. Also what's good about vleds is you have a 30 day money back guarantee minus shipping of course

 

Steven I wouldn't go any higher than 35w in them Spyders you have. Just my .02. I have 35w hid projectors, and there plenty bright.

I am thinking LED for me. Runs much cooler. Even cooler than the stock halogens

I don't think they have the ones I got as I have the older Morimoto D.2 S kit. I retrofitted mine and painted my high beam reflector, so my hid bulb is low/high beam in one. Depends on how much money you want to spend. You could call them also, they have great customer service

 

Yeah Marc there not as bright as Hids, but will definitely be a upgrade.

 

The Morimoto XB's Steven would be a good start. The Elites are a bit expensive

 

I run the VLEDS micro leds. Not as good as 55W HID but they are nice for the money. Probably equivalent to a 35W HID. easy to install and no ballast
$120 ish on sale.

Could I just hook these up to the Spyder's and run them without a dust cap? Wouldn't they seal up the back plus the fans and everything in the back or waterproof correct

Thank you sir.... Question for you... There are Clips on the back of the Spyder headlights that hold the bulbs in place apparently . Will that interfere with the vleds if I purchase them? These are the ones I am trying to fit into the Spyders.

 

Marc I'm not sure about the clips your talking about. The vleds I'm not fimiliar with. I have Hids in mine. You have a good close up of the back and clips?

No, I'm running factory OEM headlights that I retrofitted . Morimoto D.2 hid projectors 6000k with 80mm Halos.

 

Ahh....So it's probably a different set up on the back. OEMs will not have the clips. I believe the Spyders are different. For some reason I thought they take H1 bulbs not H11. There is a difference correct?

 

I think these spyders use an H1. Seller confirmed on facebook. That's what I ordered.

Yeah I have the XP Morimoto fogs. But I just don't feel like going HiD with the ballast and all that stuff. If they don't match they don't match. I can live with it. As it is now my fogs don't match my halogens

 

Yeah Marc as Steve said above they are H1 for your low beam. Haven't dealt with Spyders as far as headlights, but I'm running Spyders on my tails.

The fit was great. The DRL strip is much brighter then I expected. The projector has a clean cut. It's an upgrade over stock even with the halogen bulbs but not by too much. Upgrading those this week.
