Just took a trip, did some off roading. When I got home I noticed something leaking/dripping under my truck. Put a container under it to catch some of the fluid. The drip was coming from the two bolts on the pan in the pictures. Fluid had the viscosity of water and no real odor or color. First of all, what is this pan that's bolted under the transmission? Any ideas what this leak would be? The bottom of the first pic is the front of the truck. Appreciate any input. It may just be water, just not sure why it was only coming from these two bolts. I tightened all of the bolts on this pan. It's no longer leaking. Just puzzled.

It is condensation from the air conditioning system. Nothing to worry about.
The drain for the evaporator is right above the transmission.

I wondered if that's what it was. Just haven't run the air conditioner, only the heater. May be a stupid question, but will you get condensation from running the heater? Just never noticed it before.

That’s your transmission pan. I don’t know where the drain tube for the ac system is on those, but it was probably just evaporator moisture from the ac system. Transmission fluid should be red to brown depending on how old it is. Every fluid in the car should have a slick feeling between your fingers and some sort of odor. If it felt and smelled like water it probably was.

Right on. That puts me at ease. Just put a new tranny in this thing for an ungodly amount of money, so I got a little on edge when I saw leaking. Much appreciated.

Your a/c compressor may turn on automatically even when there is no demand for cold air.
