Right on. Just saw another DC rear door today, $150 and in mint shape, but wrong side. They seem to pop up on FBM once every other week.

Hope they compensate you a little for all of us asking the same question 47 times.

Compensation, I wish! After raising two kids, you kinda get used to be asked the same thing repeatedly, only with kids it's once every 10 seconds vs. once every 10 days.

Anyone have thoughts on salvage parts from LKQ? Guy at the body shop told me about them today. Looks promising...

OP, don't wait around on listings though, many yards crush cars daily and I've called before only to find the Tundra was crushed and ad not updated. You see the door you want, call immediately.

Operation DoorShell commences. Bought a new shell from Toyota and picked it up today. I got tired of waiting on a used door to appear in NM. Found a few online, but not worth it with shipping. I think those guys in the SE are hoarding the good used parts ;)

Took a quick look through this thread and not sure if anyone mentioned Cirtifit auto body parts, I've used them in the past and the parts are a fraction of the OEM.

Thanks. I'll keep them in mind for future body purchases. Toyota wasn't absolutely brutal. $600 and change. Plus, it's new...no worries about rust, previous repairs, etc.

A guy on another truck forum had bought an OEM door skin but the seller refused to ship those in crates. He asked for help and I volunteered. I had never so much as saw his posts online before.

It took me a couple of weeks but I built two crates that when picked up, the truck driver said "I've done this job for 20 years and I've never seen crates like those." Well the guy had bought two 40-year-old door skins and those were going to Canada. I had to expect they'd get banged up. When loaded with the door skin, one crate weighed 125 pounds and the other 110. I signed my name to each. :)

Both allowed for forklift moves and both were stenciled.
