    Pretty things
I personally will not opt to trade a useable (for me) truck for 4mpg.... I would just trade to a different vehicle to achieve this whenever possible. But not everybody has the option.

Despite the fuel usage, I/we still drive the tundra over the jeep or bimmer in a lot of cases.

    Just our preference I guess.

What I did was use the directional button on the right of my steering wheel to switch it to MPH instead of the MPG screen.

    This.

I have a daily driver corolla. $120 gas tank? Np, I only fill up about once a month anyways.

    Same here!

My '19 Tundra Platinum CM 4x4 has 285x55-20 ridge grapplers on the OEM rims. And I know that kills alot of my mpg! But I put them on bc the stock tires suck when I go offroad. And I like the truck better with the big tires.

I drive my 1999 Camry back and forth to work, and A LOT of other places lately, especially with the "green new deal" agenda that's being forced upon us, causing gas prices to skyrocket! Makes me sick! But, I don't think it's a secret anymore...

When I bought my truck in Nov 2020, gas was $1.89 per gallon. And we were actually exporting oil from the US. But, unfortunately that's not the case anymore. And now, I can barely afford to drive my truck, with gas hitting record high prices of close to $5/gallon!

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
Find an old JC Whitney catalog at an antique shop. They were chock full of gas saving devices. Might even have the 100MPG carb listed. Grab a can of snake oil too.

If you were capable of self control, you’d own a 1st gen 4.7 that gets mileage for days, but as another wannabe with a 5.7, you’re doomed to use your throttle and brakes as compensation for your failure to plan ahead.

18 Mpg’s for a 4x4 pickup with a bed ain’t bad (my 2wd titan gets 21), but a xb9r for 60mpg around town means big money tanks of fuel don’t hit as hard, and trips into town aren’t as dear, since ‘town’ is 20 miles away.

    Please let this thread die...

Unless someone has lowered their tundra, converted to 2wd, gutted the interior (or cut it into a reg cab), put 27" p rated tires, titanium wheels, carbon rotors, and regeared the rear end to 3.07. If you are out there then I'm genuinely curious what kinds of numbers you get.

Sorry, while I was in the middle of ranting I forgot to say, I get 13-15 mpg during a mix of hwy and around town driving.
On trips, IF I keep it under 70mph on the hwy, I'll get upwards towards 17mpg. The best I've ever gotten in 17mpg. If it had stock tires, MAYBE I could squeeze 20 mpg out of it??

I plan on a full belly pan and tall skinny tires. Aiming for 20mpg @ 50 psi.
