My '12 gets about 14.8-15.6 highway here in the rocky mountain region. Pacific NW I got as high as 16 on the highway. I have a SnugTop AeroSport topper, and run everything stock, except a drop in K&N. Fuel mileage isn't going to get much better on our Tundra's. All an intake will do is add better throttle response and acceleration; as well as exhaust and other engine mods. A Tacoma might see low 20's on the highway, but you bought a Tundra for a reason. :)

and see a marginal improvement in MPGs as long as you kept you foot out of the gas pedal. From what I have read the Ecobust's MPGs are no better than Tundras when you crank it up on the hwy. If you do a lot of city driving than you will see gains. Other thing I have seen is bed covers do nothing for MPGs. I had on previous trucks and saw no difference but they were older push rod V8 gas guzzlers. Alos, have seen test results that showed no improvement. Don't get a cover for MPG gains get one because you need the cover.

I do the same, and you’re right it makes the tundra more enjoyable when I get in it on weekends after driving a civic all week.

My Dad has the Ecoboost and he's get only 1 maybe 2 MPG better than me in the Tundra. He lives in Western NC so a lot of hill climbing etc and isn't really impressed with EcoB MPGs

Only paid $1k? you had a lot of repairs on that thing? i used to give an '05 Civic and i miss driving that little car around town. Might look to do this but we got 2 car seats to deal with now so that changes it a little. Someone suggested maybe a Camary Hybrid but not sure how much they go for used

Hi, had a Eco boost we leased was originally going to buy but had my doubts for the longevity and the expense on turbos. bought a 08 sr5 100.000 the gas mpg is what it is knew that before I bought.

Remove the doors, rear seat, tailgate, spare tire and bumpers. Only run at 1/2 a tank and that should help.

I’m sure it has already been mentioned, but my mpg went up when I started driving slower.

I've found that staying around 65 flat ground and uphill, 70 downhill plus coasting into every stop from as far out as possible keeps my MPGs up. The brake pedal is my enemy. I've averaged 17.1 on 3 separate tanks over the last few weeks.

I know some people don't believe the crewmax 4x4 can average above 15 but I make it a challenge each and every drive to increase my computer mpg...

Well, I tow a travel trailer with my 2012 Tundra and enjoy 7-11 MPG depending on speed and headwind.

Hey, at least you’ll be better off knowing that in certain parts of Europe they pay the equivalent of $6.04 - $6.38 a gallon.

Makes me appreciate the 5.7 V8 before they all disappear

$1.70 / litre here in the south of the province. That’s 6.43 CAD / USGallon.

With an TRD intake and TRD dual exaust I've gained 2 mpg combined. On high way I'll get 19-19.5 mpg

The OP has only posted once, and that was 2017.

The correct answer 100% is driving habits. Learning how to drive to conserve fuel, and thoughtfully planning the driving you do will save much more fuel than anything that you can bolt up to your truck.
