I'm sure the antenna is interfering with the magnets on the abs check and that's why it clunks. :)

No noise on my 15. I've been a mechanic for many years and most vehicles will run a self test when the key is turned on. The ABS module will communicate with each wheel sensor to check the circuit. It will also monitor it as you drive as the traction control system uses the ABS system. I've never heard of any vehicle that actually activates the ABS system while driving as a test. Typical dealer answer though that it's normal. That's why I've never worked for a dealer.

I got a stubby antenna but the HD radio wouldn't come in very good. Going to return it.

    Hello Racin,
I own a 2014 DB cab limited 4x4 tundra. I just got a call from my services advisor stating that the noise is comimng from my ABS actuator. They are going to replace it. He never stated that it was a normal issue. He even stated that the newer models are having the same problem. I would definitely take it to another service center and have them fix the problem. Hope this helps.

Hello RowdyRon. Don't know if your joking or serious about door locks at 15 mph. It is a feature that can be deactivated by going into your settings in the vehicles computer.

I had a similar noise. The single occurrence is the ABS module. Mine occurred EVERY time leaving a stop at a lower speed than 15mph.
After arguing with the dealer and calling Toyota corporate...my transfer case was replaced. Happy to say since then, I have only heard a noise half dozen or so times in the last 10k miles.

Some people have also heard a "clunk" that was found to be the ECM bracket rivet or weld that had failed.

Yes it is the ABS.. 100% varified.
And the wiz sound after shut down is the air system emissions pumping air into cats to purge for next start up. Cleaning...
Now I have a groin in rear suspension
When I go over speed bump. Toyota checked every component checked torque of all components..all check good...

Clunk is a very general term. Without video or experiencing it first hand it is hard to say.

When I start my truck that has been sitting all night/after a day of being at work I feel and hear a “clunk” noise. It almost feels like it is in the gas pedal.

This does appear to be a common issue and documented by many other members.

I have about 300 miles on my 18. I notice a slight clunk after backing up the driveway, switch to drive and I'd say about 10 or 15 feet I hear a little clunk on the drivers side front. When I go get my plates I'm going to have the guys listen to it and possibly drive another one just to see if the same...

Yeah, I was thinking that, but only from one side? Also I tested it today, if I back up and then go forward, no sound. But if I back up and turn wheel to pull into street and then go forward I get the noise. Under 8 mph is when it does it...

I tested again today, this time driving straight without backing up or turning wheels, still happens. Did it at 6mph, so I'm guessing abs system like everyone else. I thought it was only happening after reversing and turning wheels.
