My ideal setup is to do higher clearance portal axles. I like to give the under carriage a higher clearance if possible. That will likely come later on. The one tons would be more practical and cost affective. I’ll probably do the lift, wheels, tires, sliders, bumpers, winch, roof rack, gears and SC first.

Well I just got a call from Chrysler concierge about my Gladiator order. I guess I won’t see my Jeep until August-September!
:tumbleweed:I’ll likely order all my parts and have them waiting for it to arrive.

Portal axles are definitely a dream setup! Came across a 2nd gen 4runner on portals a couple years ago in SW Colorado and the clearance under the axles was impressive. What SC system are you thinking of going with?

That sucks! They get everyone all hyped up, then everyone has to wait that long. I was thinking you would be able to pick it up in June/July. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait though. Interested to hear your thoughts on it once you get it.

They said the Launch Edition will take a little longer because it’s a special order. I saw some video showing the base model Gladiators being loaded on to trailers. I guess time will tell. I still need to talk to other Jeep owners on which SC system is recommended. Sounds like I’ve got plenty of time to plan my build now.

This is the suspension I’m leaning towards for the Gladiator. 35C70BD8-8F5A-4E66-92F1-6CE56065BFAA.jpg
The wheels I like the best so far are Raceline wheels. I’m trying to stick to a 17” rim but I that may change.

It all has to do with options. Just like Tundras vary in price greatly on what model you pick and what options you pick. 35k-62k for Gladiator. If you look at the website it’s better at seeing why and what cost more or less.
