Yeah its slightly wider not much of difference. I went with Cooper xlt. They measured a little over 33 inches unmounted. Once mounted on the truck its around 32 1/2 FE6CC5A4-45FB-4E7C-9EC1-39F5213FF299.jpg8DEACD99-4A93-461E-9E48-028B4D9C88CD.jpg

I have been thinking about this too. I bought a set of SCS Ray 10 wheels but haven't gotten around to putting tires on them yet.

At this point in the season, I'll probably just buy a set of dedicated snow tires and install them on the factory steel wheels, and then get Ridge Grapplers on the Ray 10s next spring.

Researching snow tires, I found that CR ranks the Michelin X-Ice XI2s at the top of the list. I was looking at the Michelin website and they make a 235/65R18 which measures 30.04 X 9.45 if installed on a 7" rim.

Thinking I might try these out this winter.

If 275/70R 18 tires are 1 inch taller than stock, does that mean they have a 2 inch larger diameter than stock?

Or am I over thinking this?

No they are 1 inch diameter larger.

In regards to the pizza cutter idea, modern pickup trucks have such large wheel wells compared to days past that really any tire narrower than a 295 kinda looks like a pizza cutter...

I ran 33x9.50's on my Jeep Wrangler back in the day and love them.

I'd like to run something similar on the Tundra when they are due.

I have a set of Michelin XPS Traction - Size: LT215/85R16 mounted on steel wheels for my 2002 Tundra... I will put them on the truck when the forecast calls for nasty winter weather here in NE Georgia, but that doesn't happen very often.

My 2007 will typically remain parked if the roads get slick with ice & snow, so it wears street tires.

contemplating 285/75r18 Ridge Grapplers on the stock 2019 rims... sounds like they will fit.

They will. Just need a level type lift. Have to modify stock skid on off-road.

I never have understood why the 12.5” width for a tire has become all the rage? Generally Can’t fit with out a modifications, costs a ton more to buy, yet gains 99% of people buying them no extra traction and actually can make traction worse based upon your conditions.

I ran 275/70/18s on my Expedition and am now running 275/60/20s on my Tundra.
    Essentially a 33x11.

Gives the truck a nice look great traction and does not break the bank.

Model T`s rarely ever got stuck in snow. Most Alaskans will all go as skinny as possible and not get stuck twice.

That’s a sweet looking setup. I’m waiting for my 285/75R18 Wildpeaks to arrive. Looking at your truck, the tires don’t really look like pizza cutters - a 285 is still beefy.

285/75/18 Wildpeaks don't look too pizza cutter-like except at certain angles. Coming from 255/80/17 pizza cutters on my 5th gen 4Runner and couldn't be happier with how the truck drives and looks
