I am installing magnets to keep at ready when driving around in Chicago. It's needed in rat-infested communist shithole. I still have a bullet hole in my Transit van resulting from a shootout at 1pm in a sunny Saturday by Elston and Lawrence. This was my dashcam footage from the "firefight". I would offer free training to shoot straight, but no one would go for it.

Not sure if teaching them to shoot is a good idea, then again maybe they would take each other out quicker.

I would rather teach my family how to shoot.

    Few points Haris...

    1. It was Vargas looking for his upholstery money.

    2. Shooting back will get you prison time in Chicago.. You literally have to be backed into a wall with the guy holding a gun to your head, have begged for your life, called the cops, prayed your eyes out..... then MAYBE you have the right to defend yourself.

    3. Don't get a glock :)

    4. When the F did you supercharge? :benchpress:

Answers to questions in the order it was recieved.

    1. I know all the Mexican gangs so it cant be Vargas. Vargas use desperado style gun.
    2. I know some smart ass lawyers too.
    3. I need a Bazooka, gun wont help in Chitown.
    4. Its a complete different truck dude. Its like my home/office on wheels.
We gotta meet up sometime. Will text u my new number that I changed after Vargas started threatening me.

Couldnt locate the bullet when i started looking up this morning and then I gave up. There was an annoying as hell rattling noise that just started coming after the trip whenever i hit the bump so is started looking for that and then

I finally found the bullet....was stuck on the back of the rear seat middle headrest. That was making the noise on bumps.

Next thing. I gotta start looking at dash cam reording.

First, I am glad you are ok, that was too close for comfort!

Second, I want to chime in as someone who does carry a Glock 22 (.40). In that situation, using the glock would not have helped at all, only made matters worse. First, you would get entangled in future gang violence. Second, you were never the target, merely collateral damage. That would have horrible legal repercussions as a jury could really swing against. Also, it is hard to hit a static target when your adrenaline, how are you going to hit a moving target at those speeds. More than likely you would have caused more "collateral damage," which is the last thing you want to do.

Also, the decision to take a life should never be trivialized. You do not know all ends. This person my be a s-bag today, then have a come to Jesus moment tomorrow and because an incredible force for good. I hate to quote Lord of the Rings, but “Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement.” Ultimately I carry so that if I need to protect my family I can, or if someone is in obvious need, I can. But, in situations like the one you are in, I would hit the ground and let it pass. On that note, it is almost always better to get away from the situation rather than draw.

WTH, how did it come to this in Chicago? I used to live there as a kid while my dad attended NW. To think how things would be different if we didn’t move up north. I have no idea what’s going down there these days, are any other major cities like this? Glad your safe Coolhardy, be safe brother!

I understand your perspective but there isnt much planning involved when you are in these kinda situations. You gotta watch whats happening around u and respond fairly quickly before you become a victim yourself.

The only way I protected myself in that situation was, I said oh shit and ducked down. That was my protection.

I have a FOID card but no guns. One of the reason i never owned one is tremendous responsibility that comes with it.

I was helpless in that situation. I coulda used it on one asshole who went straight on the highway shooting while the other jerk already have taken the exit.

If I dont use anything, I never own it. Whats the point of owning the gun where law abiding citizen can use it but afraid of the repercussions incase they are left alive after the incident.

I know a few people who used it when they were in danger. They are alive and well now. They suffered first few years after the incident but at least they are not dead.
