I cleaned out a shed my pops has. I think I brought home 200 some odd dollars with recycled metal, wires, etc. 3-4 bed fulls.

Your truck reminds me of those wacky ass 90’s patterns that came fresh with a chili bowl.

If you where in Dallas I'd buy those from you.
Wife wants to do a bedroom wall or ceiling in 'reclaimed' wood slats.
    Old pallets would be perfect...

Man I love woodworking, and I love reclaimed wood as much as the next man. But, be careful what you do with pallets especially when cutting or putting in your home. The wood is usually treated with nasty chemicals and you never know what they carried or leaked onto them and was absorbed by the wood.

Great point, no telling what has been loaded on the pallets or what the wood was treated with..
So far I've been able to distract her with other projects...:D

Probably closer to 2.50 a pop. I ran a pallet recycling plant. Worst job I've ever had.

Sounds like all Chinese Cabinetry and Flooring until recently. I sounded the Hand Model alarm 20 years ago on this and people would look at me weird. Same thing goes for childrens toys! Huge amounts of lead in those from late 90’s-2000’s era. Maybe why millennials have a hard time connecting the dots?

Seems your lead tainted memory is slipping. I down loaded the PDF. No way to index the file without scrolling 2800+ pages at a time on Ipad.

Maybe since you are so smart you could figure it out and let me know, but can you handle that simple task?:D

Look at the pallet. Look for HT. Heat treated. Safe to use
    Don't touch MB pallets.

    Methyl Bromide (Bromomethane)
    74-83-9
    Hazard Summary
Methyl bromide is used as a fumigant and pesticide. Exposure may occur during fumigation activities.
Methyl bromide is highly toxic. Studies in humans indicate that the lung may be severely injured by the
acute (short-term) inhalation of methyl bromide. Acute and chronic (long-term) inhalation of methyl
bromide can lead to neurological effects in humans. Neurological effects have also been reported in
animals. Degenerative and proliferative lesions in the nasal cavity developed in rats chronically exposed to
methyl bromide by inhalation. Chronic inhalation exposure of male animals has resulted in effects on the
testes at high concentrations. EPA has classified methyl bromide as a Group D, not classifiable as to
    human carcinogenicity.
Please Note: The main sources of information for this fact sheet are EPA's Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS)
(3), which contains information on inhalation chronic toxicity of methyl bromide and the RfC, oral chronic toxicity
and the RfD, and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry's (ATSDR's) Toxicological Profile for
Bromomethane. (1) Other secondary sources include The Merck Index (7) and EPA's Health Effects Assessment for
    Bromomethane. (5)
    Uses
The primary use of methyl bromide is as a fumigant in soil to control fungi, nematodes, and weeds; in
space fumigation of food commodities (e.g., grains); and in storage facilities (such as mills, warehouses,
vaults, ships, and freight cars) to control insects and rodents. (2,7,10)"

The pallet wood is Chinese cedar. Beautiful grain, but when sanding it, use a respirator.
