Headed down the Alcan to the 48. Shot these in Teslin,Yukon yesterday. No issues what so ever towing / pulling with the real steel leafs. Just need a high limit on your gas card :(

8 to 10 MPG is all that I get. Long rang fuel tank is in the plans for the next mod. Teslin .jpgTeslin 2.jpg

Well, youve sent me in the right direction before! Think they can get me springs that will handle about 250-300 pounds and only give me an inch lift over stock?

Ok, it's done! Something I really didn't understand with leaf spring suspension, the capacity of the springs is not going to determine the lift. At least with these springs it doesn't. Bob took the time to explain how it works and get me what I needed. Pretty good experience. I went with a 500 pound set up and 1 inch lift over stock to use with a set of +1 shackles. As always, thanks for steering me in the right direction. Now it's time for new coilovers and rear shocks!

A quick google search of alcan springs shows some pretty terrible reviews as of recent. 2.8/5 stars and some very similar complaints from numerous customers...:anonymous:

I get doing a search is a good thing, but I have heard more happy customers in the past year than the whopping 12 google reviews. Do a search on here.

I have personally purchased a couple packs from them and was totally satisfied.

Most people that don’t like a rear leaf pack is due to their own fault....

    1) Don’t actually know what they want or need.
    2) Have no idea how much actual weight they have, nor even try to get in the ballpark by loading up and hitting the scale.

Here is a perfect example of one person that totally f’d himself. Good read.

I'll put a positive vote in for Alcan too. I had them build a set for me, it was for my Taco and it was a long time ago, and I dealt with them in person. I even resold the springs to another member of the Taco board who was ecstatic to run them. Like @ColoradoTJ said, you do have to know what you need and how to articulate that information.
