    Seriously.

    Diesels are not what they used to be thanks to Uncle Sam. Most of the issues are related to the SCR systems. EGR valves, DPF/DOC failures, DEF quality & DEF sensors, DEF crystallizing, increased price of diesel fuel, etc.

    Unless you're pulling heavy loads whereby a diesel is required long gone are the days I would just recommend driving around in one.

    Not to say you can't have issues but you are much more likely to.

    There is a big trend going around where municipalities are going back to gas powered fleet vehicles from diesels of all makes if possible. There is a reason why.
