At my age and mouse house and the heat and humidity journey's aren't as fun as they used to be. By the time I get the welding machine out, the drill press and band saw from attic, move the bikes from under the 4 post lift, back out the wife car, and weld on the floor the thrill is going away, lol. Amazed I haven't broken my back moving stuff in and out of attic. Best and productive journey was a 4 post lift I installed in my garage. Lift was easy, it was raising the ceiling, garage door that was the challenge....

Yep, remember tailgates weren't long ago, spare tires are still a thing. Protect cats, they will just get something else.

I built a nifty jet ski / wave runner cave for side of house. again learning curve, i used 26 gauge roofing which was a biatch since it wouldn't bend around corners. Now I know 29 gauge would have been perfect. Ok now I know that and unlikely I will ever build another what the use... Oh I did learn avoid tarps at all cost they always deteriorate. You can get a trucker tarp custom made that will last 15 years but they are $200. Since they are so heavy you have to pull so tight so puddles dont form. blah blah blah

Just for the record I installed the Valhella shields. I used rustoleoum to save the $1?? in powdered coating. It took two nights with cardboard on garage floor. turned out pretty good. Then again I blew $90 on dinner the other night. In end should done powder coating and skipped the dinner..............

It's life for most of us, one thing leads to fifteen others! Tundra mods are not any different either. Suck it up and be thankful, could have been born without the ability to even walk, see, or hear. Every coin has two sides! Unless you are like me then it has a front side, backside, right side, left side, top side, bottom side, inside, and an outside.

Someone in Houston today walked outside and witnessed a guy running away smiling at him as he had is picture taken. The thief had a battery operated saws all in his hands!!! The Tundra owner took a picture of him, the car, and the paper plates he had on the car. I think it said there were three or four of them in the middle of the day!!!??? Crazy stuff!!!!

Yeah I see two legs sticking out and I got a steel toe headed towards those baby makers. Gone like yesterday. How much does one of these cats actually go for when a crackhead sells it? What's the precious metal? People always find a way for a quick buck.

Houston has gone to shit. Step change after New Orleans was evacuated for Katrina and evacuees were housed at Astrodome. Hard to argue with data.....

Haven’t been on the page in a while, but just came across this thread as I am in the same boat. Back on 6/22, I had my truck towed to the local dealership for a fuel pump replacement. Parts took 2 days to come in and they would have it ready that Friday morning. Friday morning I get a call that the cats had been cut off on their lot. Fortunately for me, the dealership is covering all costs on it as well as paying for a rental.

i have basically been getting weekly updates saying “not sure when, the parts now say eta of….. the last date i got was 9/4, which will be 10 weeks that I have been in a rental and my truck sitting at the dealer.

I’m not sure if mine being a 4.7L is giving an issue as well, but I’m beyond frustrated. Last week they said they would install magna flow, only to find out that the magna flow that said it would fit my truck, actually hits the transfer case and don’t fit properly. I’m going to go back and talk to them about other options, but I’m kind of at a loss. I doubt a dealer is going to pay for deleting the cats or a custom exhaust job to weld them in. Parts alone on mine for both sides of the cats setup, new o2 sensors and gaskets is $4500.

I know the frustration. Took me months to finally get mine well enough after waiting for parts and chasing check engine light causes.

Anyway, which Magnaflow did they try to install? Like you, I got tired of waiting and ended up getting the Magnaflow after a few shops claimed it was a decent, good quality aftermarket unit. Mine fit perfectly with no interference with the transfer case, but mine has the 5.7L. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but thought I’d mention it just in case.

yea they said they ordered the one for my 4.7L, and said it bolted up, it just wasn’t right, said it rubbed the t-case and just wasn’t a correct fit. Sounds like I’m going to be in my rental a little while longer. At least Enterprise did give me something nice to drive haha, I’m in a 2020 F-150 King Ranch.
