9/20/18 - put the adapter to allow the rear camera to be activated at any time. Pictures of it in in #12 on the 1st post. Only the switch is a problem right now as it is too big to fit all the way in.

#11 with the rubber couplings for the drink holders in the center console, in the pictures in the 1st post you will see how well a 44 oz drink fits in it now. Very nice!

A question for everyone, on the Bed Rail System, I have the head piece and not the side ones. Talking to the guys who installed my shell said they can use different clips to hold down the shell.

So now to the question, I don't need all 3 of the rails, I only need the 2 sides for the 6.5 foot bed. Anyone have a part number for just the 2 sides?

Thank you for the help. I will keep searching google too :)

I did find out the part number Toyota Track Assembly 65335-0C011

Wow, around $150 per rail and it does not even include the screws!

If you weren't 2600 miles away I'd likely swap wheels with you. Dealer slipped mine in on me without me knowing when we were negotiating. I was happy with the plan ol steel wheels.
    Looks good so far!

Nice work! One of your mods should be the fold down back seat.

#13 added to first post, but will show here too

10/10/18 - Added a Dual Band Amateur Radio with remote head and speaker

Radio is tucked under driver's seat

    IMG_1311.jpg

Here is the remote head and old Motorola Speaker (I plan to repaint the speaker to more or less match the truck)

Yes it is, if I recall from when I bought it, it came out of an CHP car long time ago. But it is still a good speaker. Going to paint it the same color as my truck when the paint comes in. :)

    Bought the McGard Tailgate Lock

Here is what it looks like without it

Now with it (super easy to install!)

Oh, no ... already an Air Bag programming Recall on mine!

    Check your VIN - https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls#vin

This one is for my 2018 Tundra SR

    Oct 04,2018
    Manufacturer Recall NumberJ0X
    NHTSA Recall Number18V685
    Recall StatusRecall Incomplete
SummaryDue to inappropriate programming of the air bag electronic control unit (ECU), a fault may be erroneously detected and disable a front or side supplemental restraint system (SRS) sensor

Safety RiskIf this were to occur, the air bag ECU may not appropriately identify a crash condition, the air bags may not deploy as intended, and as a result, may not meet some requirements of FMVSS No. 208 and 214. This could lead to an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.

RemedyFor the involved vehicles, any authorized Toyota dealer will perform a software update on the center airbag sensor assembly FREE OF CHARGE to the customer.

    Manufacturer's Notes

If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or TTY: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA.

Real simple to put in. Normally I don't have my camper shell open or the tailgate unlocked, but just being proactive and safe just in case! :)

No problem, I only heard from a friend who told me about a recall, so I looked it up and she was right. So my appt is scheduled to take care of the software issue.

First post updated with this as well.

16 - 10/20/18 - Old CHP Motorola Speaker paint and mount

Face of speaker prior to painting

Now painted with the exact same color as truck - I actually used sharpies for the black and red :) Went to this website for the paint http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

    Speaker prior to mounting

Now speaker mounted. Will clean up wiring later :)
