what size is the muffler ? 5x15 w 3" stock piping or ? any low-end torque loss ? Now I'll have to look them up and see what options they have. Looks nice. Must have a way better tone than stock. TIA.

Diameter approx 5 inches or a bit more, length of muffler is actually about 13 inches. These photos show the entire length of the Carven replacement (42 inches) so you have a better idea. Note the replacement muffler has all the factory hangers so it’s a simple swap.

thanks. considering it. just wondering what if any drone there is - some say it does drone - ?? I have the TRD Pro Dual exhaust which eliminates the resonator in the tail pipe so I'm not sure what effect that will have on drone if any - thought about taking (removing from tail pipe section) my oem resonator and placing it ahead of the Carven muffler if the pipe section is long enough to fit it in. Probably need 15 inches of pipe section ahead of the Carven to fit that in. If possible let me know how much pipe is there to work with and what if any drone you have. Thanks for the pics and information.

I have been trying to figure out why some people are saying it drones, but I haven't experienced it on the surface streets or the highway. I've tried it from about 60 to 80 MPH and on a steady-state RPM I'm just not hearing it. Maybe it is because I kept my OEM resonator. If you're going to leave the resonator I would be hesitant to place it closer, it is designed for the end of the exhaust system.

I will give Carven a call and see what they say about it. I doubt I'm the only interested tundra owner with the dual exhaust tail pipe that does not have the resonator. Thanks for the input.

Installed mine today as well! The sound is amazing and hardly any drone with keeping the resonators on. However the muffler tip will NOT clamp down on mine. This one has to be out of spec because it just slips right off.
