    Well reviving my old thread. Bought a house and I've been working a TON on that. I should have done a build thread on it. :) Anyway, thought I'd mention, the painted exhaust tip hasn't held up very well in the Utah weather so I found out that Toyota makes their own powder coated version. Part PT932-34180-02. Should be an easy install once it gets here, but though it would be mentioning.

    Well just got my new exhaust tip. Few items to note:

    • Cheapest I could find it was on eBay for $75 shipped from Toyota of Glendale
    • It is gloss black, not satin or matte. Not sure I'd prefer matte, but I really liked the satin
    • Coating looks nice. Solid quality - we'll see how it stands up to Utah winters though

    Can't wait to see the tip on the truck! I want to do it, I just don't want it to go from that to whatever color the factory pipe is that can be seen from behind the truck.

    Got the tip switched over. You can see the before. It's a little rough. The paint had come off and got beat up pretty bad from the Utah winter.

    So question, I'm thinking about putting a bed topper on the Tundy? What do you guys think? Yey or nay? I saw a lifted Tundra driving today with a Leer top and I kinda dug it.

    It has been my favorite build yet and probably the truck I'll keep for a while. I built five Tacomas in a row and was always so glad to get rid of them - the V6 (especially the 3.5) just couldn't cut it.

    A.R.E.'s MX HD shell has been awesome. The lift-up back door is super unique and provides so much extra access to the bed and actually makes the 5.5' bed of the CrewMax an OK space to sleep in for 6' me.

    Well, got my AJT Design cases for my keys today. I swapped over the guts (without really watching his video) and all the sudden the truck wouldn't start. Well, I went back through and watched the whole video and realized I hadn't swapped over the transponder. That thing SUCKS to get out too. After some x-acto action, got the transponders out and swapped over. Lesson learned.

    Did I miss it cause I didnt see where you posted the front bumper brand and model. I ask because it is one of the first ones I have seen that doesnt stick out too far in front of the truck. It also looks much lighter than most? I literally post this and see it listed on front page lol

    It's a Fab Fours Vengeance bumper. Way lighter than stock for sure. Not sure how it compares to others out there, but I love it!

    Swapped lights from smoked to TRD Pro lights. If I'm honest there's not too much of a difference. Slight, but they're pretty dang close to the same. By the way, the originals are all packaged and ready to ship if anyone wants them!
