Hi attillatudra I had the same concerns, about a Platinum with air suspension, so i decided on a Limited, considering i do alot of off-road, for huntin, fishin, and alot of snow in the north east, etc. so having an air system wasn't a good idea , but if your gonna do mostly highway driving, the air suspension, rides like a dream, and is adjustable. I do drive alot of highway miles too, and the biggest difference I noticed is when I changed the stock tires (Bridgestone garbage, IMOP) and put Michelins L.T.X mud & snow, rides so much better ! If you decide on the Limited, just add the Convenience package, and Rear entertainment system, then you'll have, basically everything as a Platinum, except, fake plastic wood trim, and Perforated Leather seats with A/C added(Limited has Leather seats with Heat only). One other note is the Platinum only comes with second row Captainn chairs ( platinum seats 7) which leaves a void in the middle, when the seats are folded down. My Limited has a 60/40 split second row bench seat (seats 8), there is an option for the limited, if you want Captain chairs, but my point is, that when you fold down all the seats, there's a nice flat surface, with no voids in the middle, to load cargo in, just like the bed of your Tundra, I put a foam mat down, to protect the carpet, and go pick up, everything from sheets of ply-wood, and 2x4's , to 60" T.V's, bicycles, scooters, etc,and during Huntin season, I can sleep back there, nice and comfortable. Hope this helps you decide on which Tank you want.

Hey BigTree. Thanks for the info. I totally agree with all you said. I think for my purposes i will go with a Limited if i get a Sequoia as I don't want to deal with any potential air suspension issues, and I really can't stand the look of the fake wood trim. If it was real wood then maybe. But the adaptive cruise would sure be nice. Thanks

Hi Beau and attillatundra . It wasn't available on my 2016 Limited, I have standard cruise control, i don't mid it, I grew-up driving before cell-phones, so I'm always paying attention, but all new Sequoias have Dynamic radar cruise control ,part of the new Safety System.

Mine is an 2008 that DOES have the radar cruise:). Kinda ahead of it's time for an 08! Also, mine doesn't have any fake wood, just the gray dash and trim with some aluminum accents. It goes well with the platinum gray leather interior. I haven't seen any other platinum models without the wood, just mine.

That's Pretty Cool. I didn't know the Platinum had Dynamic radar Cruise Control in 2008. I don't know what year they added the plastic wood trim. I wanted to match the lighter color, Ivory interior, that got ,when I ordered my 2003 Highlander V6- 4 wheel drive, with the Green exterior. So,I traveled out of state, Toyota Dealer, 350 mile round trip, to pick up , my 2016 Sequoia, with the "Sizzling Crimson Mica" exterior (Dark Metallic Red) beautiful during the day, and looks black, at night. Since they only sell about 12,000 a year, you don't see a lot, around, but all the ones I see, by me, are mostly, white, silver,(gray) and black. Hardly any this color.

If they are on your computer you can just drag them from the folder and drop them on the box that you type on (on the forum).

Yes, they are interchangeable. The only difference is that starting in 2018 (I think) the grills are two pieces instead of one. They still install to the truck the same way though. You just attach the top piece to the grill before installing. The grill I put in the 2012 MGM one is the platinum grill I took off of our 2019 when I changed it to the Pro grill. I just had to get the top piece from Toyota of Cool Springs.

Hey, War Machine, Thanks for the info. So, I guess you ordered the top piece, color coded to match. Good job. I looked up Grilles for 2018-2019 Models, and came up with 3 choices, all start with #53101- Dark silver insert-OC080, Chrome insert-OC090, Black insert-OC100. Do you recall, if yours is the Dark silver insert, or the Chrome insert ? I think it looks better, than the Black insert, I was intending on using. Only thing is, when I put the part # in, Toyota's parts ( McGeorge Toyota) web page says, it does't fit a 2016, but I agree with you, it should be no problem. Then I guess, all I need, is the top piece, Toyota calls it the "Molding" #53111-OC240 (D1 is the color code for me). If there's anything I overlooked, just let me know, appreciate the help, Thanks.

Sorry I missed this last week. Yes, everything should fit. It’s probably saying it won’t fit the 2016 because it was still just one piece then. They will definitely fit, you just have to add the top piece. For reference, I took the grill from our 2019 Platinum Sequoia and put it on the 2012 Sequoia. Just had to get the top molding piece. Your part number is correct for that piece.

Any questions you have, you can PM @Roman or reply to his thread and he will make sure you get what you need. The new grills fit easily on the older Sequoias. Just 6-8 bolts I believe, plus the hood latch. Then jerk your old one off and snap the new one in, replace the bolts and latch, and you’re done. Takes 10-20 minutes to do. A Phillips head screw driver and number 10 socket are all you need.

Only caveat is when removing the old one, you have to pull pretty hard and it’s possible the retainer clips may break or pop out. I had one pop out when taking the grill off the 2012. It snapped right back in, just watch out for it.
