I appreciate the candor. I’m fortunate enough to be in the position where I can buy new every few. And I get that I have a great truck. I won’t deny that. I’m just a kid at heart who likes new, shiny toys.

Sell it! You’ve already made the decision, own it and enjoy the new truck. Many folks will want to purchase the Tundra.

I say do as you wish.
GMC was a strong second choice when I bought my 2014 DC SR5.

If you get a new vehicle every 2 or 3 years, would it make more sense to lease it?
You'll never get your mod money back..

I'm not a big supporter of leasing, but if you don't keep it very long, what's the point of buying?

Personally, if I’m gonna throw 10k out the window buying a new truck I would sooner spend that money on mods building a sweet unique 21’. Make it what you want, in many ways better and more capable than anything new while keeping the legendary 2nd gen reliability. In fact I purposely bought a low mileage 17 in spring of 2021 to throw a bunch of mod money at that would have otherwise went to the vehicle price itself for a brand new one that had nothing to offer over the 17’ that I wasn't going to change with mods anyway. To each their own.

Whether you’re planning a short term ownership of 2-3 years or not, you can’t enjoy your fancy new truck you spent a fortune on if it’s in and out of the shop. Not to mention the added frustration of dropping off and picking up a vehicle for service on a regular basis.

New truck every 2-3 years just get what you like. It probably won't matter.
I like the look of the at4 but after 5 minutes of research I was out.

Yea Toyota has some avoidable issues on the new gen but look at the GM boards to see how many trucks have a leaking rear window and what the official fix is, how many reports of interiors rattling there are, and how long the 5.3 and 6.2 have been dropping valves.

Oh man Jeremy, Think long and hard on this one. I know where you are coming from with getting a new vehicle every 2 to 3 years. I have been thinking the same way. Every time I get in my Pro I love driving it and the sound is so sweet. My situation is different. My problem is I don’t like how big it is driving it in certain areas and parking areas. The wife does not want me to trade it in. I feel like I will regret it if I do. But I have had new Toyota trucks and 4Runners my whole life. I can trade them every 2 or 3 years just like you. My last 2 4runner Pro’s I miss the size of them. I have to tip toe around this before I could trade my tundra Pro back in for a 4runner.

Also mine is sitting with 12,000 miles on it. Very hard call to make. Good luck on your decision!!

I too am in the “what do I do now?” camp? Been looking at 22/23 Tundras and Zr2 Silverados. I have the 21 LR TRD Pro. I love it but do I? It’s weird. I keep thinking I will lift it some and that will get me going for 2 more years. Then I see the trucks on the road and I want it.
I have 50k miles on mine. I drive a lot.

if you only keep your vehicles for 3-4 years, the AT4 would be perfect.

i was also going back and forth on the two and chose the tundra because of its reliability. the AT4 has more toys and a better interior.

it just will self destruct after the warranty period is over. you dont have to worry about that.
