Looking to mount a full sized spare. Not sure where or how to do this. Looked into the p&p bumper, not really looking to spend that kinda cash right now. Also saw the Wilco hitchgate. That's not a bad setup, but seems like I can make a better alternative. Pics would be good too if you have any.20180719_192651.jpg 20180629_072854.jpg

I just have mine strapped in the bed against the back of the cab... nothing fancy but it works for me since I have a camper shell.

Should be able to fit up to a 35 in the stock location underneath the bed. What size tires are you running?

Good to know. I went up to 33" and still have my original 32" in there. Looking to replace that soon.

While the spare is full-sized, my 2015 came with a 255/70/R18 spare vs the 285/55/R20's on the ground. In addition, my spare was marked "not for highway use". I couldn't live with a no-use highway spare that is not to exceed 50mph so I replaced mine with the same sized wheel/tire as my other 4. Just something to consider....

I am running 305/70r17. But I have the coachbuilder shackles. Dont think it will fit. The bed mount doesnt work for the Bakflip. We put all of our gear in there.

I fit a 285/75/17 with CB shackles in the stock location before I switched to 35’s. It was a tight but fit but worked. I had to switch shackles when I went to 35’s though.

I went with Total Chaos. They are 1” lift shackles also but actually raised the rear about 1/2” more than the CB’s

I would have to measure it. I have never really cared. So now that you want dimensions I will try to take a couple of measurements tonight.

Thanks. I want to see if it will squeeze between the cover and the tent.

Not a very efficient way of mounting the wheel. Those bars steal a lot of space.

If you can't even have a bed cover, I'd rather go for a design that holds the wheel in a standup position and off to a side or something to maximize space.

Hitchgate-Offset-32835.jpg Hitchgate is nice because I can remove it when ever. Also still retains 7500lb tow rating. I can put my hitch hauler off of it. Problem is it will stick out a lot.

Did you pick up the wilco? I am considering the wilco solo hitch, that way I can still use my bed. I am looking at running this one, need to find out if I need the high clearance version.

I mount mine in the bed, against the cab.

Offroad, you may find yourself many a time in a situation where the spare under the bed, factory location, is not able to be obtained.
