Only the platinum and 1794 had an LED DRL strip pre 2018. After that, so 2018+, every truck has some form of LED DRL, base models have just the lower strip (looks like the 14-17 plat/1794) , while limited, sport, platinum, 1794, pro have the full upper and lower DRL.

I wouldn't worry too much Brad. The wiring sounds similar to what @iHacker did in his harnesses. Some were for w/ LED DRL, some were for non LED. I worked up both types with his harnesses and one just took an extra step or two by running a wire into the cab and repin another. Someone will have you covered and figure this out and it'll be essentially plug and play, just will cost a little more for certain (the majority) or trucks.
These new lights seem to be aimed towards 2018-2020 tundras, which kinda makes sense, but as always someone will have an answer, Toyota enthusiasts are resourceful and ingenious in making stuff like this work

You’re right, Sean. There are some very intelligent members here. I would really like to pull the trigger on these. I’m unimpressed by the light output of my Spyder headlights. But, like you the cost is a hard pill to swallow.

Yeah at almost double the cost of OEM LED headlights it's real tough. Although they are really good looking, I like the switchbacks and I'd imagine those LED projectors are better than the stock LEDs.

If it helps I really love mine. And my ihacker harness. They are a huge upgrade. In fact I did mine, and my buddy who has a tundra saw them, and took it for a drive and ordered some that day. And you can find some good deals on the now a days. Some guys are selling their "chrome" or "smoked" housing LEDs to get the black pro housings.

Ditto. Those OEM LED assemblies and a set of Morimoto LED fogs are just awesome.

That's what I have, and I installed the same on by buddies 16 limited. I hear the OEM LED fog lights are better than morimotos but I'm very happy with my fogs now

I decided I didn’t want to wait and bought the lights from Xenon Depot. My invoice says The Retrofit Source.

Even my support ticket / email I sent to XD has TRS in the body of the message. Not that it really matters.

I'm still torn, especially now. I was going to do the monthly payments through affirm on TRS, just because then I didn't have to drop the whole $1150 at once, but I have the money. Maybe I should just order them.

I’m not a good person to ask advice from... I just bought them to replace OEM LED (black) that replaced OEM LED (chrome) that replaced a retrofitted set of heads.

I’m definitely interested as well and also curious as to if they adjust with the switch inside the cab to level the lights out.

I just ordered a set of the XB's for my Pro. I'll have a set of customer retro (TRS) Spyder's with Mini D2S 3.0, upgraded DRL strips, Water proof denso slim ballasts, and Philips x-treme vision bulbs. The total was $388 for the lights + $970 for the retro = $1358 + shipping total. If anyone is interested, please PM me for info and pics.

This guy^^^^ he's got the right idea. Strike while the iron is hot!!!! Very smart. I bet we see quite a few LED sets up for sale, I mean even after the pro black LEDs came out we saw plenty of nearly new chrome or smoked chrome lights go up for sale on the cheap.

I sure hope not, I think that's what he paid for them. He will be lucky to recoup 1/2 that, and once a mod sees that he is violating the forum buy/sell/trade rules....hes gone for a few weeks

I can't say for sure if the leveling motors will work but I think I read somewhere that they will have leveling motors attached already, if not they should be a simple swap from your OEM lights

I did a quick search and it looks like XD was bought out by TRS. I wonder why it’s being advertised that XD is getting the first 50 sets and not TRS.... marketing?
