I have a set of the Morimoto XB LED Headlights on my 2018 Platinum and the headlights all work with all lights, sequential turn signals, leveling, no hyper flash, etc. but the problem is I have all warning lights on my dash and it beeps then entire time driving. The warning screens that pop up are as follows:

    Pre-Collision System Malfunction
    Blind Spot Monitor Malfunction
Trailer Brake Error. If Towing, Come to a Safe Stop with Manual Controls
    SRS Airbag System Malfunction
    Cruise Control Malfunction
    LDA Malfunction

I have been in contact with TRS and was told that I am the only one that has had this problem. I was also told that other 2018+ Tundras have installed these lights and do not have this problem and they work just fine. I am not happy being the lucky one to see this problem and am trying to figure out what the problem is since TRS does not know. I do not have a schematic of the headlight circuit but obviously something is causing the error. It was offered to have TRS send me a replacement harness to see if this corrects the problem. That concerns me also because I would have assumed these have some sort of QA before the items shipped.

Just reaching out to see if there is anyone else that had to travel the same journey I am challenged to travel that could provide some light on this topic. I cannot continue to drive the rig like this with the beeping and not being able to see anything except splash screens of errors and malfunctions.

I was hoping that at least @Headlight Revolution would chime in since I was asked questions and said they were happy to help.

    Hey OP!

I am not super familiar with the Backstory on the situation, but I would be happy to help where I can! I just now saw this post due to the Tag, I apologize!

Have you taken the truck into a Dealer by chance for a Scan? With the Airbags, Cruise Control, and Lane Departure flashing at you, that complicates things as I have personally not seen this issue. I would be curious to see what a Dealer has to say on the situation.

You still have the OEM set? If so - put them back in and clear the computer and see if the errors go away

I am not prepared to pay a dealer to tell me the lights have a problem they have never seen before. I will hook up my Techstream today when I get home and see what codes are there.

I have a LONG FREAKING STORY for the light install, first it was a missing harness, then what was done the first time, then what I was told to do, etc.

Negative, the old lights are gone. There was no errors before the light install and during the install until the very last. I will post up everything later after the Techstream session is completed

I would be curious to see what comes up from that scan. If anything, swing by O'reillys and snag their OBD2 Scanner for a couple minutes. Should hopefully be able to find something new there!

Well I just used my Techstream 3 months ago and it is now asking for a new Key. I have a set back until I get the Techstream up and working. Very frustrating at this point

Man one thing after another... I am so sorry my man! Any chance with a local Auto store/Shop for a quick OBD Scan?

Anyone have the wiring diagram from an OEM EWD for the headlight circuit of a 2018 Platinum? Just trying to see what would cause the problem with the warning lights on the dash that causes the Royal Flush on my dash

I had a long weekend that kept me from the garage, too much going on still after the Holidays and I was not able to get the Techstream working. I will get it working today or I will take it somewhere and get it scanned

The factory light bulbs. Such as the bed cargo light bulb. Map lights bulbs. Etc. Many swap those out for LED's.

I have a very LARGE listing of codes from the Techstream scan I did yesterday evening after I got the Techstream up and running. Now I have a haystack and in there is a needle. How does one find that needle in the sea of hay? I am not sure what exactly to look for. Any suggestions?

In techstream save the codes then clear them all. Then turn the ignition off and restart. See what codes are present after the restart and address them first.

    See fine print
Did you unplug the TSS sensor on the grill when you did the install? Stupid question but did you plug in back in? If you started the truck with that unplugged you need to clear the codes.

Yes I unplugged the sensor like I have 100 times removing the grill and just turn the truck off, plug it in and start it the codes clear themselves.

So the new harness' arrived last night so after dinner I dove in. Replaced both harness' and the warning lights were still there. I got out my Toughbook and connected up to the truck using Techstream and there were codes EVERYWHERE! It was actually overwhelming going through EVERYTHING but a necessary evil. I deleted all codes but the SRS Airbag would not let me delete the code and digging into that, it showed that it could not communicate with the sensor. I dug through the wiring harness and made sure everything was connected and it was so I was stumped. I then looked for the fuse and there it was, the airbag fuse was blown. As soon as I replaced the fuse I was allowed to remove all codes. I just drove to work this morning for 18 miles with 13 of those highway miles of 80 mph and so far no codes. I am confident this is behind me now.

The pigtail harness for the blinkers was found during my process that they are not needed and what it did was blow the HAZ fuse. I did notice the Airbag fuse was not quite seated in the connector just right but it was blown so replacing fixed that. I checked every fuse in that under dash fuse box to make sure they were seated properly and to my surprise just about everyone was not 100% seated. Weird but all good now.

Thanks to everyone who has reached out, it has been a long process with a Florida vacation in the middle of the install. I have to admit everyday of my vacation I was thinking of what the hell could be wrong with a simple headlight swap. So happy now! :bananadance:

The harness' come with the Headlights, they thought there may be a problem with one or both of the ones they sent to me.

OP I had the same thing happen to me with my new 2019 Platinum a couple weeks ago. Put in the lights and the required harnesses and my dash lit up like yours and my blinkers wouldn't work. Swapped back to the stock LED's and the messages all went away, but my blinkers were still not working. Called LightWerkz and they said I had them plugged in correctly. Well, I had to drop off my truck at the dealer to have them look at the blinkers and found out the aftermarket lights had fried my dash! They initially checked the flasher/fuses and found nothing. It came back to the aftermarket lights frying something in the dash. Well, 22 days later and a couple grand out of pocket my truck is back home. Literally picked my truck up today after dropping it off December 18th. The electronic dash had to be replaced and was on back-order from Toyota for 3 weeks. I will say that Lightwerkz was totally useless and wouldn't let me return the lights. I had to make a claim against them with my CC company to get refunded the purchase price. Then, of coarse, after the seller saw the claim they asked me to return the lights.......lol.

They have a problem with their product and they don't step up to the plate. To me that's a new kind of low. I would start a new thread about your experience. Payback is a bitch.

Blown fuses was my problem. I would have asked for the “fried pieces” they removed from my truck. I am sorry but if you look at the wiring harness for the Tundra, what could possibly cause the dash to fry before a fuse blows? I am not saying it didn’t happen but I would really want to see some proof that the dash fried. That sucks and is expensive.
