Cool! Looking forward to hearing how the fog light installation goes. I'll be doing the same thing in a few weeks.

    Hello All
Just finished installing the Morimoto XB Fog lights. That went pretty easy. The tough part is taken out the original fog light. if you never done it. Once its out you just have to pop out the lamp from the plastic housing it sit in and then putting the new one in is a snap. and then popping the plastic housing back into the fog light cut out of the truck and then putting all the fasteners that hold the unit to the truck and then the two remaining screws. Hit me up if you have questions.

Good to hear the new XB fog lights went in well. I heard that in the third gen Tundras some people had trouble fitting in the XB fog lights. Still waiting to receive mine. It always takes a while to get things from the US here in Canada, now a bit longer due to COVID-19 and the border being closed to non-essential travel etc.

Heres an update approximately 7 months later for the Morimoto XB's if anyone is curious. I am now on my 3rd set of Morimoto XB's for my 2nd Gen. The headlights are outstanding as far as light output and look compared to the OEM headlights. My only gripe is that they have a horrible seal and i've had to replace them due to moisture intruding into the housing. The first set lasted about 3 months before water got in, I reached out to Headlight revolution to get them replaced and the process was smooth and they did not give me any pushback, just had to pay $650 deposit and they sent me a new set. The second set lasted for approximately a month or so and only one of the headlights had an issue where water got into the headlight. I reached out to Headlight revolution again and they said that I couldn't only replace one and that I'd have to send in both because they got rid of the blacked out side marker to be DOT compliant. I really love the headlights but what pisses me off is that water keeps getting into the damn headlights. For the amount I paid, I thought that they'd be better. I'd be pretty fucked once this warranty runs out and then i'd have to deal with the issue myself instead of warrantying it out. The 3rd set seems to be fine but its only been about a couple of months or so, hopefully they have figured out the issue and used a better sealant.

As far as the other mods that I've done like the Fox 2.0 coilovers, they are still running strong and I still stick to my original review. Also to the dude that said that my review is trash because I do not have any experience, fuck you this is not the only vehicle i've ever owned and have modded.

Now for the tow mirrors they are still running strong and I have not had any issues with the led's at all. I reached out to topgearautosport about my issue about the tow mirror not staying in place and they pretty much said fuck you because they never responded. I guess I'll just deal with it because from what I heard some people never even received their purchase.

I've also done a few other things since my first post like buying Toyo RT's and the tires seem to be doing okay after 20k miles, just sucks that they recommend that I rotate the tires every 3k miles. I've noticed a considerable amount of wear from the front outer edges of the front tires, i'm not sure if its because I drive the truck really hard or if its because I do not stick to the rotation of the tires every 3k miles.

Another thing i've done is replaced the rotors with stoptech cryo-treated slotted rotors and replaced the brake pads with hawk HP super duty brake pads. The feel to them is outstanding compared to the stock rotors and pads. I impulse bought the slotted rotors thinking that they were way better than non slotted or drilled rotors but after a little bit of research people seem to say that slotted rotors wear out the pads quicker and that smooth rotors provide the same stopping power as slotted or drilled ones. I was afraid and thought that slotted rotors were going to wear out my pads a lot faster but they seem to be doing fine after 10k miles.

I got the Morimotos about 3 weeks ago. They are plenty bright for me, but 2 nights ago I started getting clicking from one side like it is arcing inside, and a flashing like they are "refreshing". I'll update when I find out what is going on

Yeah screw that guy! Means absolutely nothing! I for one appreciate your review and especially the update. Fingers crossed these ones hold up for you... I'm holding out a while before I pull the trigger.

Never did get an answer but headlight revolution did replace the light, so far no problem with the new light
